Fighting intolerance with intolerance. Fighting generalizations with generalizations. Kudos.:|LJS9502_basic

There's a type of intolerance called protest.

I never quite understood the point of feminism until I registered here on Gamespot. For a while it was quite cool being one of the rare female members, and sneaking around the offtopic forums reading funny boyish posts, kind of felt like I was infiltrating some sort of boys club. BUT DUDE. Once the topic of "OMG girls posting on gamespot" came along, I went crazy.

Let me point this out loud and clear:

Girls sometimes like games.

That does not mean they're ugly.

That does not mean they're socially awkward.

That does not mean they're bad gamers.

I've said this before and I feel like I need to say it again. I am most likely better looking, better gamer, and more socially adapted than more than half of you, and I do feel offended by this sort of thing. If you don't really care about anything I wrote here, look at it this way: If you continue to treat women like they're aliens who can't keep a conversation about anything other than clothes and tampons, you will drive them all to lesbianism and the world will end. THAT MEANS YOU DON'T GET TO HAVE SEX.

Tolwan

First, i am insulted by your claim that half of us here are ugly. You yourself are making baseless arguments or stereotypes, the very thing you are complaining about. Second, welcome to a society where the majority of gamers have been and continue to be male. It's just the nature of the beast, it's how males act. Get use to it.

Congratulations, you've just misunderstood the simplest post ever made.

That's why it's called OFF-TOPIC.

P.S: Of course it's not every male person in here who annoys me, I've made good friends here. This is meant for the jerks out there. Haven't you ever felt the need to cry out for something that's bothering you even if you know you won't be able to fix it?

Bioshock for sure, but Uncharted is mighty unimpressive.

What games you guys think have bad water effects?

420Token420

 Man seriously get rid of your PS3 and never come back to these forums ..

seems like he's mircosoft co-manager :P:lol:

Hahahaha must be man .. I mean yes I agree Bioshock does have the best water effects but it's not a PS3 game .. but to say you're unimpressed by Uncharted's water effect is flamboyantly fanboyish ..

Actually I was quite unimpressed by the water effects in Uncharted. Maybe there's something wrong with my eyes but I'd actually choose Oblivion over Uncharted! Half Life 2's water is the best one, in my opinion.

And I would sooner describe myself as a sony fangirl than a microsoft fangirl.

I think you hit the nail on the head with why Blizzard is still around. Since they're put out so many successful games, every magazine and writer in the gaming industry is willing to review and pay homage to anything they do just to make themselves look better, rather than the other way around, which is how it's supposed to work!

SpaceMoose

Yeah, that's why Blizzard is still around. It's not because every title they have put out since Warcraft 2 is a AAA game, and they refuse to release anything if they feel it won't be. It's not because they design their games for a mass market and not quite such a niche one as the target audience of a game like Fallout. They put Starcraft: Ghost on indefinite hold supposedly because it wasn't living up to their standards. They could have just realeased it and it would have sold tons even if was merely mediocre. They take their good old sweet time releasing games, and it invariably shows in the results. I do hope you're being sarcastic.

Now whether they will maintain their huge quality standards after the ocean of money they are swimming in from World of Warcraft remains to be seen, especially now that a lot of the old Blizzard people are gone, but until they release a game that does not suck away a significant portion of my gaming time after its release, I have to believe they probably will.

Exactly.

Heavenly sword is the best game I've yet played for the PS3. And you guys are crazy to disable the sixaxis parts, they were my favorite. Shame it's so underrated.

LOL, not quite what I had in mind... Well, if that trailer had nothing to do with the story, just a tech demo, then err... well it looks great first of all, and I'm kind of thinking it will be either a third person shooter or an rpg (kind of obvious but hard to take a shot in the dark ). Hoping that it's not like, adventure/puzzles.

Also hope the main character really is female. We need more of those.
