@notafan: What's funny is companies doing next to nothing and people thinking it'll actually change anything.

@restatbonfire: I only brought it up because you implied it never happened. But yes, this needs to stop, doesn't matter what race the victim is.

@restatbonfire: It happens more often than you think, the national media just doesn't report on it.

A couple years old now, but this happened one town over from where I live. Unarmed man shot and killed by a cop. Only difference this time, is the Victim was white and the Cop was Female, but those two differences are enough for the race baiting media to ignore it.

Exactly how is money going to "end racism"? This corporate virtue signaling is getting on my nerves.

Isn't she like, twice Lilith's age? Unless the movie takes place in the future of the series, I don't see this working.

The video game industry as it is now has trouble creating decent games without having a license attached.

IMO, oe of the better examples of an anime based game in the last 10 years was the free to play Ghost in the Shell game, but it didn't matter that it was decent, still got shut down 2 years after launch regardless. So, if you want decent anime adaptions of video games, you gotta start from the top, because current industry culture makes risk unappealing. They KNOW a fighting game is cheap enough to make so they go with that because it's not much of a risk compared to something more impressive.

"At the same time, ValueAct pointed out that Nintendo has not enjoyed the kind of success--and profits--that companies like Activision and EA have over the past 10 years."

If Nintendo pulls the kind of BS that Activision and EA have done to bolster their profits, it'll come back to bite them because I don't think Nintendo has the same type of customers they do, and it'll probably turn many of their long time customers away.

Why would I want to subscribe to a streaming service only to have the provider of said service to butcher the content with mediocre, unnecessary censorship?

@irishplusfour: Either way, this is a losing battle for GameStop. Here in Pennsylvania, electronics retail is specifically stated not to be allowed to remain open.

Yeah, if I worked at a GameStop, guess who I'd listen to. The company that wants me to die for them by keeping the place open during a pandemic, or the State Trooper that is currently asking me politely to close the place, but will shortly stop asking nicely...
