I know that LOTR:white council was cancelled but is there any more news on it being restarted or possibly a new project.

Just watching the films again you realise how good a openworld RPG LOTR game would be - IMO it should be Bethesda who develop it, with the ES/Fallout team. the fundamentals are in those games and i would happily pay for 20 pieces of DLC to have the LOTR world

After reading the review in PC gamer on Arma2 as well as watching some excellent youtube vids + reading the preview/demo report of OpForce:DR, I am stuck on which one to chose.

In the long run OpForce:DR will win as it is on all platforms to play but for the short term is it worth upgrading my computer to play ArmA2. They are both very similar games but I imagine that OpForce:DR will be more user friendly as it is aimed at the mass market whereas ArmA2 will focus on realism.

I think I will choose OpForceDR for X360 as it cannot not be simple with limited buttons - Discuss
