I hope 3d remains a value adding feature like HD or surround sound, NEVER an essential part of the game or gameplay.

3d gaming on PC is amazing. You can turn it off if you get tired of it. Most games work without any modification. It doesn't change the game, it just adds another level of depth, like surround/stereo sound. I got hooked on 3d photos on Flickr years ago and purchased two vintage cameras of my own, a stereo Realist and a Lomo Sputnik. I love the extra depth and realism, but use them exactly like regular cameras. Anybody who wants to give 3d a try, get a couple pieces of red and blue cellophane and hit Flickr or use the cross-eye method. Especially those that have never seen a 3d movie because of the high cost.

These guys are right. No stereo 3d gaming for me. In fact, no stereo sound, I'll stick with mono. It's just fine. Who needs the extra depth of sound? Surround sound? Just a gimmick. I don't need immersion in my games. Plus surround sounds dynamic range is too varied and it hurts my ears when it gets loud. Only if you could turn it off like 3d in games on pc.
