I have installed new ram as it happens. I was recording my bands EP on the same machine and I needed more RAM so I put more in.

This is the first time I've tried installing GTAVC since then. I have installed a few other games like Postal 2, Black & White and Lego Star Wars II which run fine. Not sure why this isn't working.

Hi there! I recently found my old GTA Vice City game and I fancied a play since I can't get GTA IV yet for the pc!

Problem is when i go to install it it comes up with this error message

"An error {-5005 : 08x8000fff} has occured while running the setup.

Please make sure you have finished any previous setup and closed other applications."

I googled the message but didn't find much relating to the game itself so I'm at a bit of a loss. I've just done a fresh reinstall of windows and I did have the game installed on this machine before and it ran fine, but I've removed all the old files from the drives.

Can anyone help?
