I don't think I've ever enjoyed a shooter game as much as Gears, so I'd say it's my favorite I've ever played. As far as being the flat out best, that's debatable...but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt.

Does it really matter what score it received? I know that I, like most people, had planned on buying this game long before any reviews or coverage came out about it. I had high hopes for this game and I figured it was going to get rave reviews from critics and it has without question. Sure, it would be nice for my most wanted game of the year to be the absolute highest rated game of the year, but that's not going to happen and more than likely never will, but I'm content knowing that this game has been well worth the 2 year wait and will be one of the best games this year. Don't stress the numbers to much. Once you get it you'll find out of it's a "9" in your eyes or possibly even more, and if it is, be glad...because that means you're going to enjoy it more then almost everyone else.

I don't think the review was anything great. It sounded like it was almost done for a school project or something with how the narrator was nervous and his voice stuttered a couple times, haha. Oh well, lets see what some of the bigger reviewers have to say. I could care less about 4 player co-op so if these guy's only complaint was no 4 player co-op then this is easily going to be the best game of the year for me. Only 4 more days to go.

I got the same message too, and unfortunately I think your 360 is pretty much dead. Mine had a video card failure so I'm assuming you had the same thing. I don't think you have any other option other than to call for the coffin.

Depends on what you're into I guess. Fallout has a lot of the same elements that Oblivion did apparently and I was never a big fan of that, but I love Fable II. It might not be as long or as well done, but it certainly is a lot of fun to play. If you can I would just buy both. They're both great games everyone should play.

I feel the same way. I loved the first game and the second, but the direction they went with the new game is pretty disappointing. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to stick with a company I've come to trust immensely when it comes to platforming....Ubisoft. The new PoP looks like it's going to be as good as the previous games, and I couldn't be happier about that.

According to Gamespot's ratings scale, an 8.5 means a game is "great".

That's all I need to know if I'm going to buy it.

Most reviews I've seen say that even if you haven't played the first, the second one doesn't really require you too so that's reassuring to me. They say the story is only 10 hours, but that's a fairly decent length. Besides, it's the side-quests that are going to chew up most of your time, and most reviews say they are definitely worth your time so it should take you quite a while before you completely finish the game.

80 hours a week on average? That's insane.

Let's say you get roughly 8 hours of sleep each night, that amounts to 56 hours total of sleep every week. There's only 168 hours total in every week(24x7)so if you subtract 56 from that, you're left with 112 hours every week where you're awake, and if you spend 80(+)of those hours gaming, you're left with what, 32? That's not even enough to have a full time job for crying out loud.

I love playing video games as much as the next guy but that's unbelieveable. Now I truly understand what it means when someone has a "problem" with gaming, sheesh.

It's worth well more than that. I mean, TF2 was worth the $60 bucks alone. Anyone that hasn't bought it yet should and whoever doesn't for $30 bucks is crazy.
