Well, I tried out the Beta.

I'm not really a big fan of this game to be honest.  I enjoyed Battlefield 2 quite a bit on PC, but this game doesn't seem very interesting to me.  I'm not really a big fan of the direction FPS multiplayer has gone in over the last several years though - being in that you start with crap and have to basically grind levels like you're playing an RPG to get better stuff.  It's completely uninteresting to me and I have a hard time understanding why everyone loves this style of gameplay so much.

Just give me a good old fashioned shooter with a well made map and a bunch of weapon spawns and let the chaos ensue! Classic FPS deathmatch FTW.

This is a toughie.

I loveeeeeeee Kate Hewlett as Jeannie Miller.

HOWEVER

Common Ground while slightly predictable to say the least, was a relatively awesome episode IMO because it had Sheppard teaming up with a Wraith who ended up becoming a really huge player in the overall Stargate Atlantis story arc, as well as one of my favourite characters.

Even though I loved the sibling shenanigans between Rodney and Jeannie and Kate Hewlett's irresistable cuteness I still have to give this to Common Ground simply due to the fact that it spawned one of the best things to ever happen to Stargate Atlantis: an important wraith character who actually had a personality.

EDIT: Also, even though he only appeared in a handful of episodes. Kolya is easily one of the most memorable characters in the history of the Stargate franchise as a whole so every episode he's in is a blessing.

So, I watched the season premier of Stargate Universe when it first aired.

I haven't watched a single episode since.

The premier just simply did not ring true with what Stargate was and is to me, and I felt it unnecessary to watch the series further; it has none of the things that made me originally become a fan of SG-1 and Atlantis in the first place.  There was a specific reason why SG-1 and Atlantis were the only shows on TV that I actually looked forward to watching every single week.  I realized early on that this new show was aimed at different people and I simply was not a part of the target audience anymore. I would simply continue to be disappointed every week if I kept watching it.

I'm not posting this to bash Universe though, I really simply just want to know one simple thing:

What do you think of Stargate: Universe so far?  Are you enjoying it?  Are you holding out hope that it will get better? Do you like the characters? Do you find them interesting?

Seeing as we're all stargate fans here I'm genuinly interested in what you guys think about the show thus far, seeing as how I haven't been following it.  I still do check gateworld nearly every day for potential updates on the SG-1 and Atlantis movies.  I still am and always will be a Stargate fan, but I really just don't think Universe is for me.

Call of Duty 2 currently has the Collector's Edition set as the default game release for the game space for some reason. (Game name and box shot)

Has anyone here tried the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 PS3 beta?

I haven't installed it yet, but I'm going to soon and wouldn't mind someone to play it with.

Pretty simple really, I'd like to see the ability to change your vote for user reviews. In the case of accidentally thumbing something down it'd be nice to be able to thumb it up instead of having it as permanently thumbed down.

EDIT: On a side note, I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but I'd also like to see review emblems added to user reviews, and possibly even a good/bad section as well.

I've posted about this before, but it seems that user-submitted box shot scans submitted through GameFAQs are occasionally replacing high-resolution scans that have already been added by GameSpot staff.

I've been aware of this issue for some time though, and have saved some of the original high-resolution scans just incase they get replaced by poorer quality ones through GameFAQs.

I'm not sure if this is something that can be fixed as it seems that the image system on both sites is connected. It is kind of annoying though because GameFAQs users often upload poor quality washed-out box shots that replaced official publisher-released box shots already on the site.

I was looking through my unions list and noticed that I had sent an application to a union that had not been accepted.

I've already contacted the leader about this (in order for him to either approve or reject my application) and he hasn't done anything.

When I try to withdraw my application nothing happens.

When I try to join the union (in order to leave it, thus removing it from my unions list) I receive a message stating that I have already applied to this union.

The union is also now currently open to all members to join at will, applications are no longer required.

Could someone please delete this union from my unions list?
