[QUOTE="J_Ford"]You have me on your leaderboard now :P I downloaded it last night, its pretty awesome.JordanElek

Yeah, it was weird, I checked the leaderboard first thing last night when I started playing to see if any of my friends had it yet, and there was nobody. Then for some reason I checked again when I was done playing like 20 minutes later and you were there.

If you want to add my wife you could have two people, her NNIDs Guild_Sweetheart :)J_Ford

I will definitely do that. Being first out of three will feel better than first out of two. :P

Cocky much lol? Might wanna go and check your game 'cause I've passed you on a few levels

I think I'm gonna take the plunge and buy one this weekend. In addition to the ports already out I have a good feeling that Nintendo's first party games will be stellar like usual. The technology is intriguing to me and I'd rather support a company I love then to buy a competing console for 3rd party games...

Shonuffnation

I wasn't really wanting a Wii U to be honest, at least not untill March when MH comes out  But my hubby wanted it so we ended up getting it this month. And I acutally like it a LOT more than I thought I would, so far we have Nintendo Land, Sonic & All Stars Transformed, Epic Mickey and NSMB U. They're are all really good games and we're having a lot of fun with them.

I'd recommend getting the Deluxe Edition since it's only $50 more and you're getting more space/hard drive and Nintendo Land which is sold seperatly now for $59.99. I don't see why anyone would even consider getting the reg/white one :P

As long as you like Nintendo and it's games I don't see you regretting getting it. There's already some great games out for the Wii U and it's just the begining, I'm sure a lot more is in store for us with in the next year or two alone.

The D'awwww part made me chuckle.

I already added J_ford, I'll add the Missus next time I get on.

So far all my friends are from this lounge. Can't wait until some games come out to play with everyone!

if you're getting MH, i'll def be up for that :P

I've never played an MH game before other than the demo for the MH that was on PSP a few years ago. I thought it was decent but I've read on this site that the Wii version was really good. I will definitely try out the demo next month. My only issue with the game is it does not appear to be at all story driven, it looks more like a big hunt and chase to see who can get the big or rare monster... I'm big on story. When I play RPG's I a lot of times won't go on the guild hunts or a lot of the fetch quests. MH seems like that's all the game is. Maybe I'm wrong, I never played the game really.

There is a story (offline) in the MH games, not as detailed and intense as most other RPG's but it's a really good game none the less. The Wii version was really good however also very watered down in content compared to all the other MH games. Which is one reason why I'm really looking forward to MH3U as it's spose to have the most content of them all.

MH is mostly about trying to get the mats you need to make/upgrade your gear which can get tough at times, depending on your luck but still a very fun game. And unlike other RPG's your character doesn't acutally level up skill wise, you have to actually play the game to get good/better at it.

It's def worth a try, tho you can't really go by the demo alone. I tried the demo for MH Tri and didn't like it at all yet it turned out to be one of my fav games on the Wii

Anyways I hope you end up liking the game once you try it :)

So my wife and I were finally able to get some WiiU games this week. So far we picked up Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed for $40, Epic Mickey 2 was on sale for $29 and we just grabbed New Super Mario Bros U today. We've been having a ton of fun with the WiiU, especially with Nintendo Land.

Also I saw this posted on facebook when I got home from work,

Mar 19th can't come soon enough! Apparantly there's going to be a demo released on Feb 21st as well,

J_Ford

Wow haven't been on this site in forever. Anyways I'm the wife :P

Having waaay more fun with the Wii U than I thought I would and can't wait to try out NSMB U tonight :D

Been waiting a looong time for a new Monster Hunter game. Def day one pick up for us, hope that there'll be a collectors or limted edition too.

*Oh and btw my NNID is Guild_Sweetheart if anyone would like to add me :)

It's not really a glitch, it's more like an easter egg.

There's little shortcuts like this in pretty much every Mario Kart game, whether they're intentional or not they do exist. Mario Kart 64 has a bunch, Kalimari Desert, Wario Stadium and Rainbow Road are just a few that come to mind. And in Mario Kart Wii Grumble Volcano has a shortcut right at the start of the race, granted you need a mushroom and it's pretty difficult to pull off but doing so gives you a huge advantage.

Bottom line is, Nintendo more then likely won't fix it. There's no point in letting something as trivial as this ruin the experience for you. Shortcuts are there for everyone to use, whether you choose to use them or not is up to you. Just enjoy the game for what it is.

J_Ford

Exactly. And chances are that Nintendo isn't going to fix something that they more then likely chose to add.

If glitches/shortcuts were new to the MK series that'd be one thing but they're far from new, Nintendo has a habit of creating these "shortcuts" in just about every MK game to date. That being said I highly doubt that they don't know about them, you really think they spend countless hours testing and playing the game just for the heck of it and absolutely no one on the staff knows about it? They're obviously there for one reason and one reason only, to be found and therafter to be used.

And acutaly the same could be said about paragliding, how on some tracks you can pretty much cut out a chunk of driving time by simply gliding through otherwords out of bounds areas just to get ahead of other players.

MK can be random at times with all the blue shells and other bombardment. But mostly it's about skill and part of that skill includes learning how to finish any given track in the fastest time to give yourself an advantage.

You have to "download" the blue squares that say to pick a game. You can then go to the list of games and downloadSiK99
I've clicked the box that says pick 2 free games and I've even picked an empty blue box and clicked on it but nothing happens. The blue box just says No conten was found :?
