Hello,
I am wondering what will Nintendo do now that their "novelty" motion control is happening to the ps3 and 360. We all know that ps3/360 can give you a whole lot more options than the Wii from storage to online gameplay to simply better games.
PS3/360 can put crappy games like carnival games but Nintendo can not put triple A games like GOD3 and MW2(except for Mario galaxy maybe).
Who is still going to buy a Wii?
I know they more than profited this generation, but what is next?
Will they need to release a Wii HD, because Sony and Microsoft has no intention of releasing new hardware any time soon? Who is going to buy it?
Will they make the Wii super cheap and sell it in 3rd world countries, and make it a poor man's ps3?
Don't worry about it
I hate the multiplayer too, its not fun for me, halo is much much better. Its a great single player game, but I too have a hard time understanding why its so successful, it really has nothing special about it. I guess they got lucky because everyone plays this game so their friends would get and then the friends of their friends got it and it became a standard.
The thing that bothers me though is that when people say they will play online that almost means they are going to play mw2, so leaves me with no one to play with
[QUOTE="Kingmohd84"]I have a macbook that is 2 GHz and 2 GB Ram Graphics card Nvidia GeForce 9400M I run windows on it, I just want to know up around to what year can I expect to play games decently? I realize nothing if the new stuff is possible like Assassin's Creed(the first) won't run, and Left 4 Dead worked in lowest possible settings fine, so much for the HD eraIbnLaAhad
Dude... AC runs fine 1024x768, 3/4 details, no multisampling, no shadows.
L4D runs with shaders, textures, and paged etc. on high at 800x600 or 1024x768.
The 9400m is a huge step up, I'd expect games like DOOM 3 on high though some settings like textures can be left on medium, Half Life 2 ep1 and ep2 running fine with shaders medium, crysis is a game you really have to tweak for your system, and newer games like Bioshock 2 should be decent at actor detail high, shaders medium or low, etc. at 1024x768 or lower. Bioshock 2 isn't really nice to the low end crowd nowadays, the minimum GPU mem is now 256 instead of 128.
You can't really give a definite answer since every game was different then and now...
I haven't played on a computer for a very long time, so i got no idea how to tweak
L4D would work perfectly only under the lowest of resolutions, which looked like '98 game, otherwise it will get slower, crash, or lose frames really badly.
Maybe it was a bad copy I am using, I am not sure.
I am not what they call a "graphics whore" but i would certainly like to play in HD. So I should keep HD settings up to 720, and keep shadows and textures on medium for most games?
Hello,
I just want to say that I really like the 360, but a lot of hate builds towards the RROD.
PS3 was a year less on the market, and the released the slim. How about a 360 slim or similar?
I just checked 360 price and it was $300 , just as much as a ps3, but the ps3 has a bluray player AND a wifi, not to mention more options. They managed to cut prices and put out a stable dependable hardware.
Why wouldn't Microsoft release something similar? It has less hardware and DVD-drives are so easy and reliable to make now days. How about a better looking and a stable 360?
Why do they insist on making all consoles RROD? I know the newer ones are less likely to get it but they still do. Maybe they should get rid of that brick too
What do you think?
