Show them the video of Eugene Armstrong's decapitation or the 3 Guys 1 Hammer video, and then tell me their reaction was one of somebody desensitised to violence.

i was really impressed with Halo 3's graphics. The screenshots didn't look like a huge improvement over Halo 2, and neither did the Halo 3 Beta. But the game looks phenomenal... it's the high dynamic range lighting and motion blur which really make this look fantastic. and the presentation (e.g. HUD) is really slick too... very Metroid Prime-esque. The game is amazing, and so are the graphics. Sure, they're not as good as Gears but they're probably the second best on the console. but you HAVE to see them to judge them, the screenshots (or videos) don't do them justice.

Not impressed. The price is ridiculous for the little changes that are being made. Why did Sony ignore the most common criticisms, such as a single analogue stick and crappy d-pad that's unresponsive to diagonal directions? Or they could have at least redesigned the single analogue stick. Apart from the video output feature, this new PSP is almost pointless for anyone except those who haven't bought an old PSP. Anyone else agree?

definitely one of the best and most influential games of all time. it doesn't spring to mind as one of my all-time favourites as quickly as Ocarina of Time, Perfect Dark, and Half-Life 2 do, but the more i think about it, the more i remember the unprecedented amounts of fun i had playing this game when it was released.

okay, GTAIII was incredibly awesome, but San Andreas took this formula and expanded it to ridiculous levels. i mean, it's a crime to have this included before San Andreas. San Andreas made a genre on its own as well -- the 'urban crime game'. Look at Saints Row, 187: Ride or Die etc and it's easy to see where their inspiration comes from. Also, we need to see GoldenEye 007, Perfect Dark, Half-Life 2, Rainbow Six: Vegas, The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, Timesplitters: Future Perfect, Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy, Mafia -- these all need to be added some time soon! (okay maybe not, Timesplitters and Fahrenheit -- but they're ace!)

PSP's load times are generally ridiculous, SmackDown blew me away with its load times, and since as much as i love the game (and i do), i've only made two characters and done two seasons due to its load time. As soon as i finished the second season, i never played the game again. Midnight Club was also an issue, i loved it but the load times made me take it back. There's not much that can be done, really, but its such a shame. Tekken and Coded Arms have awesome loading and, Tekken in particular, are very technologically demanding so why can't all games have loading under 10-15 seconds?

All these games run fine with all the settings turned up and my laptop sucks (1.6GHz Intel Centrino processor, 512MB RAM). The Movies Max Payne 2 Half-Life Quake III: Arena Pro Evolution Soccer 5 (Winning Eleven 9 in US/JP) Counter-Strike: Condition Zero Call of Duty The Sims There are more, but these are the best of the quick-running bunch. All top games, which you can now get for really cheap prices on Amazon, Ebay or the shops (excepting Pro Evo 5 and The Movies).
