Great EA. Now tell us about the sales of the neutered Battlefront II? Come on, we're dying to know how your "games as a service" idea, worked with the biggest sci fi license in existence. Please, tell us of your millions of units sold, and how you're just raking money in hand over fist. Tell us how pleased your shareholders are, and how you can't wait to put microtransactions back in to the agonizing grindfest of BFII, that has people automating their controllers, to get away from it.

@siarhei: I find it absolutely hilarious, cause it usually means publishers push out games that SHOULD have been free to play to begin with. :-) For Honor is a MESS of a game if you pay for it beforehand. I could have overlooked a lot of it's problems if it had been F2P. Then, all the grinding and microtransactions would at least have been worth it.

This is going to sound bad, but I think the biggest thing Sony needs to do this year, is JUST release good games. No new hardware announcements, no new VR or 4k/8k/whatever nonsensical TV standard is being pushed. Just come out with a strong library of games, first and third party. Maybe announce the next six months of PS+ free games, and they'll win hands down.

This is going to be Microsoft's comeback tour E3. Fighting against that is pointless. Any message sent, is going to boil down to, "Ha ha! Look what' Playstation's doing to fight MS!" Further, VR is not just picking up steam, it's starting to bed down some real principles on how VR games should work. Let that process simmer for another year. At E3 2018? THEN you announce the PS5, enabled with VR for $500, but can also play normal games, including the current roster of PS VR games.

Microsoft is going to do what MS always does; shoot first and ask questions never. This is NOT the time to launch new hardware, as the issue of 4k or VR for gaming has yet to be really settled for the next step. So, don't fall into the same trap. Give MS this E3, and next year, when they're trying to figure out how to pimp ANOTHER console after shoving Scorpio at everyone, Sony can laugh it's way to the bank.

@pspearman: I'll be honest. a LOT of the multiplayer games, are tiring me out. I want games that I DON'T need a group of friends willing to grind grind grind, to actually start enjoying. I want games where lag or poor random group choices, don't cause me to waste 15-20 minutes in a match I know is going to go nowhere.

Games like Overwatch I may hang onto for a season. Games like Horizon: Zero Dawn The Witcher, and Uncharted? They're the games I still own and enjoy playing.

@scottyp360: Until they have to sell Call of Duty World War II, and people decide to just wait for a year. :-)
