@ExcaLi-burrGA Don't be surprised if GoW goes PS4. Game developers aren't going to make exclusives for a flop system. Look at WII-U. I can see XBone suffering a similar fate with their used game stance.

I love that people are actually whining about Gamespot giving the game an 8. The same community who bitches at them for rating games too high because "they paid them, maaaaannnnnn."

There are people on here saying they played the game and it's awesome and the second coming... no you didn't. It's not out yet and you're not reviewers.

The problem with this community reaction is this weird entitlement that a faction of the gamer crowd think they have towards a game (that they haven't even played is hilarious), and that that game should just be rated perfect, best game ever. The fact that gamespot is one of the ONLY publications that even bothered to point out some flaws in this game makes me value their review a hell of a lot more than @willywynn 's "No way 39 other reviews are WRONG!"

Actually, yeah, they are. The reason you see so many review sites rating 10s and 9s are because everyone else is doing it, and they don't want to deal with the backlash of children who cry at honest reviews.

@godonholiday No, that's not how reviews work. I think you missed the point. Gamespot, like any other review press, chooses the person they feel represents their overall taste and opinions for that type of game. That person's review IS reflective of Gamespot's collective opinion (seeing as I've worked in the industry for Games for Windows magazine, I know how it works and can give a semi expert opinion.)

@Naktls you're half right. It's not the developers as much as it is the Publishers. Ubisoft and EA (Publishers) are only willing to hedge their huge budgets on "safe" games. Games they know will sell. Like another shitty Call of Duty MW remake with a new number on it.

I agree with you on Diablo 3, ME, and DA2. DA2 was a developer problem, dumbing down a great game in order to get a "new audience", which could be the most stupid decision in developer history.

@ragnar320 So true. Thanks to people that work there like Lucy Bradshaw or Frank Gibeau. People like that are ruining games in general. Both have gone on record saying something along the lines of "Single player games are the way of the past."
