my first pc I built was going to be intel but the high prices pushed me away.so I went with amd and have stuck with them ever since.even if intel has better processors that wont convince me to get one.always better to wait on new tech and get it for a cheaper price later down the road.

isnt there a xtx version of the 2900 with ddr4?not a big deal ddr3 is good enough right now.but why isnt it even mentioned here?maybe thats ati weapon for when nvidia releases there 8900gtx card.

eh so the PAL version of the ps3 isnt a pal afterall.the price is higher and you get software emulation instead of an hardware engine.well its not worth it then unless maybe your mr.bean who has no life.LOL

there are many new features vista has to offer that i like.but id rather wait for some service packs to come out before i buy it.i can do with windows xp or xp64 until then.id rather prepare to use vista by getting dx10 video card then wait until the games come out.that wont be for awhile though.

i hesitated to buy an sli mb when they came out because of money and didnt really care about 2 cards to play games.but now its a good time to upgrade with the dx10 coming out later the prices will drop for all dx9 cards.i wouldnt waste my money on a gx2 since the performance gain for gx2 sli vs quad sli is weak.and not many mb even support the damn thing so that is dissapointing.if you dont care about hdcp then the 7900gto is a good deal its a slower gtx nothing more. so are the new gen cards g80 going to support hdcp or what.i figured if i get the 7950gt ill be able to watch any hd if i wanted.im not concerned about dx10 since there is a chance vista screws it up.not worth wasting money on dx10 cards if the performance in vista is worse than xp.nah dx10 is not going to make dx9 obsolete right away maybe by 2008 all dx9 cards will be gone.

Id agree there is no point spending money on another card unless your playing at high res which only monitors over 19" can do.i think another 7900gt would help me out for using 3d programs but thats the only use.these cards wont be worth it in a couple months i bet so that means some big price drops.the ps3 has some sort of g70 gpu in it which will be beat by the g80 later this year.but consoles are easy to make games for and will be good enough to compete with import games.thats the thing i wonder is if they made a port of assasins creed.would you buy it for ps3 or pc if you your pc was highend?
