Sony's had a number of underdogs like Horizon Zero Dawn , The Last Guardian , Detroit Become Human , and even Knack II that is really good and really fun. Death Stranding looks like the biggest underdog right now , lol.

How as any of those besides Knack II considered underdogs? They were immensely hyped.

They were immensely anti-hyped too though. Don't you remember what a lot of Lems , Hermits , and Sheep were saying about them before release? They dominated any Cow hype. 3 groups vs 1 group.

I'm starting to see the same for Death Stranding.

Anti-hyped? Is that a thing? Because it sounds ridiculous. For starters, I don't pay attention to who spreads hype. I pay attention to the hype itself. If lems, hermits, or whatever say anything about something Sony related, it doesn't concern me. I don't put stock into fanboy jargon. When I think of underdog, I think of something that doesn't generate hype at all, like Knack 2 would have done if it didn't become a living meme. So for the first three aforementioned games, the hype was everywhere. Forums, articles, reviews, you name it. Doesn't matter what someone was saying about those games. Didn't take away from the hype the games already had.

As for Death Stranding, again, doesn't matter what people stay against it. The game's already generated enough buzz that it doesn't matter if all the "lems, hermits and sheep" come out of the wordworks to knock the game. The game will not be ignored by the people who matter, the ones interested in it, of which there are many.

Working. When I get off, it'll be back to the FFXIV grind. I can't wait to get caught back up because I'm missing my other games. But because I was playing other games, I got left behind in FFXIV. It's a vicious cycle.

Bumblebee was a great movie all around. What I really loved is that it had so much more in common with the old Transformers that I grew up.

I skipped around a few times and saw nothing really exciting. I'm not expecting much from the gameplay department. I'm pretty much going into this game for the weirdness and atmosphere.

Yeah, they're all within five miles of each other.

It's one thing to not have product to sell, but it's something entirely different to tell the consumers to being their own products. This chicken sandwich craze is ridiculous, and I still haven't been able to try it. Anyone here try it?

Isn't this akin to killing cockroaches? Aren't they off-setting loss prevention from piracy by actually fighting piracy? Wouldn't it be better to, I dunno... put their entire Virtual Console catalogue back on the Switch, so we can start buying Clu Clu Land at 5 dollars again?

Speaking of VC, that would be better indeed. As long as Nintendo keeps their legacy games to themselves and don't offer their fans any way to play or purchase them, I hope pirates and their roms prosper. If Nintendo doesn't care to give their fans with money ready access to their shit, I'm glad there are pirates who do.

I could wait for years hoping they put the specific NES or SNES game I want to play on Switch Online sometime in the future. Or I could just play it now elsewhere. Not the hardest decision to make.

You know, I used to be strongly against piracy, but considering how stingy Nintendo has been, not just with their legacy games, I honestly don't blame people for pirating them. I'd go so far as to say they created this problem.

The Dreamcast never stood a chance because Sega kept shooting themselves in the foot with previous systems. Now that Sega finally did something right with the Dreamcast, it was too late.... people were holding out for the PS2 which at launch had far worse looking games. Glad I was part of the crowd that supported it.
