Thats not true. Its just basic math that the more open slots people have the more diverse their builds will be. Not to mention the less spots the more the player feels he or she needs to min/max thus using only the 6 "best augments". I am sorry but argument is not valid. Like I said its basic math.

Actually you've pointed out a flaw in your own logic, so you're argument is invalid.
Basic logistics = People choose "optimised" set of 6 augments + 4 augments = "optimised" set of 10 augments
The augments that you couldn't get, you can get. Maxed out strength bonuses but missed out on defense? Well, implementing your suggestion would allow for that and make him a walking tank. 4 extra augments become irrelevant because they become an open augment slot. Why would you choose the lantern augment (novelty use) over a defense boost? What makes you think that an extra slot will change the way people will see that slot?
It does not matter about the min/max because the player will choose the augments that are, in terms of gameplay, better than others so there will be less diversity because everyone can afford the highest strength boost whilst picking up all of the defense augs. You can not add slots to an already existing scheme and expect people to see it differently, and add novelty augments instead of booster augments.
From the sounds of your other arguments, you sound like an ***-hurt Skyrim fan looking for the next mind-dumbing experience. 1 dagger and 1 sword does not equal the best of both weapons, because you've traded in speed, control and damage, all for the sake of the middle ground between the most enclosed area. You won't be able to = parry, roll, double jump and won't be able to attack successfully mounted as you can't control the option to have a dagger or a sword.
If you don't like the Pawns made by the COMMUNITY, take it out on the COMMUNITY! Don't sit there, arms folded, blaming the developer when you can't find someone who wants to put strength bonuses on a mage.
There is nothing that you have suggested, that will even alter the experience nor are they issues. You're making an issue out of nothing.
