I'll buy all of these eventually although at least half will prolly be used a couple months after release.

It was my favorite action game of this gen so far... now tied with NG 2. It was short... I gave it 2 plays through though. I definitely reccomend it. The bad guys are wicked and I really loved the six axis archery gameplay. The story was good too... good character development.

Speaking of we might see some news of 2 soon. I know the sequel was greenlighted.

I thought he meant he was looking at ways to develop other games for other consoles in the future. Not mgs.... I guess I'll have to rewatch.

Also I'm sure this thread hasn't been closed yet because unlike the others it's based on FACTUAL sources in regards to NEW information.

But I'd bet now we won't see it until it won't matter.

Really? You don't happen to have a link to some sort of proof of this do you. I have a hard time beliveing masamune shirow developed his style based on some scientists study during the 80's. Although it may explain a lot.

For me... they're all the same. Same archetypes... same controls.. same menu screens and maps... same story. I still enjoy one from time to time but 3-4 in one year is more than my action oriented head can take.

Don't tell me that when you we're a kid you didn't wish that the combat could one day become action based. I mean the design decision to go turn based combat wasn't based on a wish to do so, it was based on limits to what could be acomplished with the technology of the time. Turn based in a seperate environment allowed for more detailed animations, characters and combat in general. At the time it made the games MORE immersive. Now it works the other way,

Simple as that.

LO will give you MANY more hours. But if you prefer real time action that will just mean many more hours of boredom. If your a fan of turn based tactical combat LO is a must play.
