Polygon is the only site I don't trust. They are snobbish and I can't remember the last time a Sony game reviewed well on there. One exclusive on PS3 or PS4 got higher than 7.5 all year and that was the one nobody else liked Beyond Two Souls.
I think the conspiracies usually are expressing the feeling people don't have enough information as to how the reviewer received and played the game. Sometimes people get flown out weeks in advance to play demo's in cushy hotels and even go to review or event parties. Get given embargoes involving posting dates, coverage to show etc. Without saying this happened or at least explaining generally how it goes down.
I definitely don't think anyone at GS lies. But having as an example a box that says how the game was provided, when you had access to the game, were you given promotional material or approached to give away merchandise or copies of the game, invited or attended functions etc. would give people no ammo to come up with the conspiracies.
It still feels pretty slow and not nice to look at even with a dynamic theme. I just hop straight to games. A nice menu would make you want to use it, which sounds like the PS4 managed to do.
They hired people to make them. They can't guarantee it's a 100% perfect production line. Every buy a motherboard or GPU? That's why you have a warranty.
That makes no sense. Maybe if i said they copied them that would make sense. I just said it looks similar.ANd it doesn't have to be out yet to have some similar art work.
