Media sharing requires Media Centre, not just XP with service pack 2, have you got media centre?
Not sure about the DNS error, unless you havnt enabled connection sharing. If you go into network settings then right click your wireless connection, click properties. Go to the last tab and check the box to share the connection.
Might be something totally different but this works for most problems. Hope it helps.
Platinum games are popular titles released at budget prices. I tend to shy away from them because they have nasty silver covers mostly. You can get them for most platforms, about half of the retail price of the original.
No, you really don't need five pictures of them...unless homework just became really cool.
I was just playing gears of war on my lovely new HDTV, and now I kinda wish I wadn't.
During my favorite cutscene in the game (where the helicopter smashes into the building, and you meet general raam) I was admiring the graphics when I picked up on something I hadn't before: it was all pre-rendered. Presented as ingame, but prerendered none the less. So was the final sequence on the train and probably others.
I don't know about anyone else but this kinda get on my nerves. Since then I've noticed it in quite a few games that I had previously admired the capabilities of. The mass effect relay jump - although the least disruptive of the ones Ive noticed - does the same thing, and uncharted has a couple. Because most of these videos are in high resolution maybe the developers didnt want you to notice, but I always kinda die a little inside when its prerendered.
I know the argument, that these cutscenes help everything move along without the disruption of large loading times and some consoles not generating textures, having slow framerates: but isnt that what these guys are paid for? I can get a CGI cutscene anywhere, and it'll probably look better. I didn't buy a 360 to have it fire off video.
Anyone else notice this?
