nice review, but EVE Online doesn't need any shoulder-slapping from the mainstream. For years it's been the most successful mmorpg with a subscription model beside wow - all others have failed and more certainly will. it's also one of the deepest and most original games of the generation. it's not everyone's cup of tea, sure - but CCP's achievement is beyond any doubt.
well i was hoping for a new ip from NDog... but a new uncharted is always good news.
Here's a few bit of info about the trailer - courtesy of internet of course:
- "Hodie Mecum Eris in Paradiso" means "Today you will be with me in paradise". it's the second last word of Jesus. What it implies might be clearer to a Christian.
- St Mary is an island off the coast of Madagascar, and was popular for pirates in the 17th and 18th century. The island is also rumoured to be the site of Libertatia - a legendary pirate colony founded by Captain James Mission.
- I believe the game will almost certainly revolve on this piece of legend.
@bluefox755 @pug987 @Jinroh_basic would be great if it offers full and hassle-free respec. having played all major arpgs since the first diablo, i really want to see the genre move away from the trial-and-error philosophy - which in essence is just a pointless attempt to inflate replay value and - in some cases - opportunities to earn money.
does the game allow you to respec or any such flexibility in character development? D3 did alot of things wrong - but the freedom and ease it offers is one feature that i want to see in this genre going forward.
