Giving Jeff Daniels the Emmy instead of Cranston is a crime against humanity.
Did anyone else find that Gretchen and Elliott thing a bit cheesy/cliched?  Or more specifically how the Charlie Rose interview just so happened to be on the one night Walt finally leaves the cabin and decides to channel surf on TV?  The plotline itself is fine, but I think I would have found it more believable if Walt read the Schwartz's quotes in the newspapers, or at the very least decided to go to the bar that night because he knew the two would be appearing.
Boston_Boyy

Both of those set ups are f*cking boring and really difficult to translate for the viewer visually. Besides, it's doesn't encompass Walt as a character as this moment does: Right when he is down and met w/ his meaninglessness, his ego is what ignites him.

And while it's an implausible thing, this show gave up on realism back in season 2 when it focused on this dramatized ideal of the butterfly effect.

The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret.lamprey263

First season was pretty meh, but it became hilarious in the second season... Especially the final two episodes.

some of you must be higher than the moon right now. seriously how much pot was smoked before some of these posts were made?mrmusicman247

I was quite high, but I stand by my statement: Rian Johnson's BB eps are the only worthwhile thing he has done.

I think Rian Johnson should direct Breaking Bad episodes exclusively

Some of the theories I have read are....
that Hank and Gomez are killed. Jesse kidnapped and forced to cook. Walt gets the M16 and ricin to save Jesse. Not sure if I believe that. But some how the word gets out that Walt is Heisenberg because of what we saw in the first episode of season 5B
Swanogt19
Today I was thinking about the show and I remember reading at the start of season 5 that Walt got the M60 to go back to save someone. So it is possible, but when you see the strong sense hatred, betrayal and anger in Walt's face, it's hard to believe he'll come back to save Jesse. Not to mention that Walt is there and they can force him to cook or rat him out to the police.
But honestly, who knows at this stage? This show has destroyed my theories and turned my assumptions on their head an innumerable amount of times. At this point, I have no f*cking clue how there can possibly be three more episodes left w/ way things look to have transpired.

And why is the English "dialect" of the 1700s the norm to judge "proper" English by?

Teenaged

I presume their reasoning is based on the 1700s being when the colonies split from Britian

But I think the whole thing to be meaningless and people who care so much for an idealized notion of English are uptight c*nts who should go f*ck themselves w/ a spatula

I don't see how anyone wouldn't expect for Todd's uncle to show up, which to me made that call very emotional, because you just knew that excitement and happiness was all for naught, and it might very well be his last goodbye. SaintLeonidas

Yeah I agree w/ you; the call was totally warranted, considering how far we've gone w/ both Hank and Marie in this investigation.
