Yes, I was truly disappointed. I loved the gameplay and controlling Vergil is a pretty refreshing experience...but it was super short. Besides, I hate the story. Vergil has Kratos slapped all over him. Confused and power-maniac, Vergil managed to lose both his coolness from the prev games as well as his human side from the core game. The cutscenes look rushed like s***. Bottomline, NOT worth the price.

The characters, although named the same, are different, aren't they?  Eva in the original was a human, no angel. Sparda in the orignal defeated Mundus, not imprisonned by him, and there was no mention of one being the blood brother of the other. And in this game, Mundus was killed so how did he return to fight Dante in DmC 1?  Hence, I don't think any event happened in the original 4 is going to happen, or has happened in the reboot's universe. And DmC Dante is NOT going to become DMC1/2/3/4's Dante, am I right? Excuse me if this has already been made clear by the devs but if this is the case, then this reboot's relevance to the original is minimal. Thoughts?

Political and religious controversy interests people. We naturally doubt "the power" and develop crazy conspiracy theories  The same reason why Bioshock Infinite, Assassin's Creed, Skyrim and many other games rose to success. It relates to our questioning nature.

Not very well executed ending I might admit. Kat's pleading is not convincing enough, not very emotional. Vergil, pierced by a huge sword, still manages to walk around normally with some panting and chest holding. Seriously now. They act like very bad, reluctant actors at the end of a movie who are all like OK let's get this s*** wrapped i am so effing tired. Not much thought put into it I guess.

The biggest problem I have with this game is the excessive cursing and unnecessary sexual scenes. It doesn't feel mature, it feels childish and stupid. Just like GOW. The mature sense of a piece shows in its sophisticated thoughts and theme, not sex or violence. I'm fine with the gameplay and mechanics as well as the difficulty curve. The story is pretty meh. Though I like Vergil more since he feels more real and more "human" than his other representations. Kat is a big mess.

The first Dreamrunner you encounter will not die, you beat him exhausted, he'll disapper. It's probably because your trainer is messing with this scripted event, try disabling it. Otherwise, the only method i know is dodging their portal teleport attack they'll be vulnerable for a short time after executing it, then attack. Rinse and repeat.
