Thanks from what I've read about their reveal at quakecon it certainly looks like its heading more in that direction. I hope its not too long before we see it, and get to play it. :-)

Quakecon is on over in texas, and I was thinking about what i would like from a new doom game. Although i dont want a remake of original doom with modern gfx. I would like to see it return more towards its roots rather than have another doom 3. I want to feel like a badass, I want to carry 9 weapons and be able to blow the hordes of hell back to where they came from. I want to find power armour before running into a huge demon horde and then rocket jump quake style to a ledge up high, where I can rain death down upon said horde. I want frantic gun play to be broken up with solving level wide puzzles that open secrets. If they did this I would be very happy indeed.

@jhact: Bring up your weapon wheel with LB (on xbox), Select the top weapon in the wheel, with the right stick. Then use the d-pad to scroll through different pistol types. hope this helps :-)

Playing on 360 downloaded it from xbox live to hdd. played through to the point where you get beaten up by thugs after following the kid to a street party. I talked to the ex cop and when it loads the next bit it throws me back to a checkpoint in chapter 6? I played it through again from there and it wont save from any further from that checkpoint it always says that that is where my last save is and the continue game starts me there. i got so fed up with it. it takes so long to get back to ch 7 again just to find out it still wont work. I had to stop playing... i dont want to start the game from beginning again. if there is no solution i wont bother with the rest ill just uninstall it. any one had similar problem and have a fix?

Ah... at the end of the game, you see the Lutec's bring Booker to Comstocks reality, prior to when you see them rowing him to the lighthouse, at the beginning. Also during the game Booker mentions to Elizabeth that he wasn't ever aware of a floating city. Again at the beginning of game (in the lighthouse) if you remember there is a body with a bag on his head, and a message reading " Do Not Fail" (or something similar). This is another Booker (one who failed). Later on if you can remember you meet the Lutece's, who flip a coin which lands heads. He has a chalk board with a score of how many times it has landed heads and how many times tails. With them all landing on heads. This confirms that you weren't the first Booker that they have brought into Comstocks reality. They have tried this numerous times with each prior attempt a fail. I guess the coin flip is the Luteces way of trying to determin if things will be different this time round.

the answer quite simply is that there are an infinite of possibilities, therefore there can be a reality where there is a booker that stays with Anna.

okay so for the first question, you understand correctly that booker and comstock are the same person/different reality, via different "quantum-probability-choice" made at baptism. one chose one didnt. Comstock was unable to have children of his own. So he asked Lutece to help him. It is She and her "Brother" (who is also her but from another reality where she was born a man). Now its the Lutece's who are Quantum physicists who invent a way to enter other realities. They find one where Comstocks other self booker has a child, and they bring it to him. As for how he knows about the mark "AD" Its not really explained other than that Comstock has seen the future, or a possible future where the "false shepherd" arrives. He is called the prophet because, the luteces technology has enabled him to see this possible future. I know its very confusing but I hope this helps.
