[QUOTE="dk00111"] Oh wow. These are cheaper than I thought. I thought they would be in the 3k range. In a year or two they will hit the 1,000's and sales will pick up imo.RogueShodown

We only got charged 150 for the blu-ray 3d player, 2 glasses, and movie. When we bought the tv at normal price. TRY PRICING THOSE SEPERATLY! The movie alone is going for over 50 on ebay because you have to buy the pack. 175 for 1 set of glasses (get 2) and blu ray player is 350!

HOW CAN YOU BEAT THAT!?

Yep, and they will actually have more 3d Blu-ray movies out for them instead of 2.

You don't really know if you got a deal. They pack in stuff to make it look better than it is, even though they could have given you the choice to buy that stuff seperately and lowered the price of the TV, which would end up with a lower price of the whole package.

Why would they lower the price of the Tv? Its not a flea market or auction.

And lose out on 175 a pop for glasses? Nope, they'll dump that guy in a river next to the guy that cured aids and cancer if you catch my drift. But like I said, don't see the depth being very deep...

You know Nintendo has the 3DS screen, which displays 3D without the need for glasses. Wouldn't it be awesome, if consumer T.V.s came out like that, and we could play 3D games on a 42 inch TV without wearing glasses! Hopefully it's a matter of timezaibutzu

But how deep can you get 3d without glasses? Not very. Its like looking at a 3d slip cover of your Transformers box. Its 3d, but weak!

2300 for it all. Best buy has a package deal for everything.

But, it was just a review. Not a sales pitch.

Agreed... On topic.

Are you saying the TV can turn 2Dinto 3D?

YES! But the quality has to be good for it to work. You can't put bunny ears up and expect your tv to be 3d. The best results are blue-ray. Like I said, the depth will be like a toystory movie, not a disney world ride. (which the actual blu-ray 3d is like)

So Sunday I was in best buy looking for a new TV. My DLP was starting to not look as good as all these new TVs on the market. I was looking at getting either a plasma or an LED. While looking at TVs I saw a group of people huddled around a panasonic 3D tv with 3D glasses on. I was thinking to myself, "This is out already?". I mean, I knew they kept talking about it but I just didn't expect it to hit with a thud. I mean, there were glasses out, Blue ray 3d players, and they had only one movie ,Monster Vs. Aliens (Cloud with a chance of meatballs came out Tuesday). Any who. I gave it a shot and tried it on. I was amazed! I mean, this was actual 3d. This wasn't movie theatre pixar 3d, It was actual touch your nose 3d. It had that much depth. Needless to say, I was highly interested. Ended up with a Samsung LED 3D 46"

The guy showed me the features and mentioned something AMAZING which not many people know. The TV can actually turn regular (not already made 3d images) and jerry rig them into 3d so to speak. The effect was a depth which was like a pixar movie. Its not in your face, but its 3d. However, this could only have a good effect in Blu-ray DVDs because of the very crisp picture. When the 3d effect is implemented it makes lines, I guess those lines are easier to create with a crisp image. I thought what any gamer thought. HOW WOULD MY PS3 look!?????????????

I got it home and hooked it up. I didn't get a very good result at first. Reason being, my PS3 HDMI wasn't a 1.4 HDMI. You need a FAST cable to run those 3d images. I unplugged the one from my 3d Bluray player and plugged it in.......................WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, I know firmware has not updated and will not until the end of summer. This is using strictly the TVs capability to generate 3D images on the screen like a regular blu-ray I mentioned earlier. The effects were like a pixar movie. Not touch your nose 3d, but like a Toy story 3. It is freaking auesome. Here is what I tried

Battlefield-cross hair is in 3dalong with the map and certain objects at times

Split second- The car is in 3d.the spoiler looks like its coming out of the screen a bit

God of War 3- Kratos is in 3d, along with the people

It seems that the closer the image is to the player, the more 3d it looks (I know that sounds stupid)

I know I keep mentioning pixar 3d and touch your nose 3d. I'm just describing depths as best I can. Picture Disney when stuff comes at you and is right in your face. Then, picture Toy Story 3 when its in 3d, but not great depths. Catch me? I CAN ONLY IMAGINE WHEN THEY ACTUALLY MAKE 3D GAMES! HOLY CRAP! I don't think I could really play these games in 3D for long periods of time because your too busy taking in eye candy and not playing the game. Of course, when HD games came out, I was doing the same. Too busy looking at the great graphics and getting shot to death.

Hope you enjoyed my review, be glad to answer any questions.
