The only one I've really used was for Final Fantasy XIII-2. Because of the structure of that game with tons of fairly involved quests to get various crystals, it was a lot easier to have a book than to be constantly looking that stuff up online. Others I've bought, for Skyrim and Kingdoms of Amalur, I never ended up using. I didn't need much help and when I did it was much easier to do a Google search than to go sorting through the index of those books, which tend to be pretty incomplete.

I rarely buy anything from PSN just because I can always find a physical copy for less on Amazon. And god only knows how long it will take to download, when I had PS+ one game said it would take 17 hours. Then I was getting error messages when I tried to download a couple of others. That's why I cancelled PS+. I don't really care that you can't play your PS3 downloads on a PS4 though; I always keep my old consoles. Steam is great though, I stock up on games during their sales and save a ton of money.

I mostly buy new games but I've bought a few used ones. I just use Amazon and look for ones in very good condition. Never had a problem. A long time ago though I bought some used PS2 games from Gamestop and those things looked like some little kids had used them as Frisbees. Luckily they played though.

I'd recommend just getting an Xbox 360 wired controller for Windows. I think they're about $35 and you just plug it in and it works. I tried using my PS3 controller and motionjoy and it's a lot easier to just spend the $35 IMO.

People just don't have any concept of living within their income any more.

PS3 fatty. A work of art with that piano black case. Good and heavy like a proper piece of electronics should be too.

I started as a mage and was woefully underpowered - just running around drinking health potions and firing an occasional spell at enemies, and it took 6 or 8 spells to actually kill a low level enemy. Switched to a warrior using a sword and suddenly I was nearly invincible, and could kill enemies in 2 or 3 swings of the sword.

You also want to make sure to recruit pawns (companions) and level them up at the same time you level your main character up. Give them good armor and weapons as well.

Why do people say sales don't matter?

Because they bought a Wii U

That pretty well sums it up.

Star Wars the Force Unleashed. Just seemed like a cheap and very poorly designed game.

I'm a big fan of the series and will be getting my copy of this today but yeah, Polyphony Digital is pretty behind the times when it comes to a lot of features that other racing games have had for about 8 years now. Maybe the mediocre Metacritic scores will finally give them a kick in the butt and make them realize they need to hire some more people so they can bring the game into the 21st century.

Probably not though.
