Both GameStop and Amazon list the game for $39.99 new. That's crazy to me. Clearly delaying the game to port to every other system has backfired. Thoughts?

Mario 64 was one of THE first 3D platformers ever,wiifan001

What?

as in there weren't many 3d platformers that came out before Mario 64. I mean how many 3d platformers can you name off the top of your head that released before it?

Jumping Flash.

Screen size is staying the same. My vote is get the current one., and you can find one cheap used.

So the time is right to get a Wii U with almost no games out, the majority of their games releasing next year and beyond, and right before the holiday season where everything will be discounted.

Well, you have an interesting way to look at "the right time"

AlmightyDerek
There are over 100 Wii U games out now and plenty of good games are coming out this year, both in retail and indie. It's possible he could get some discounted games before Christmas but the console is probably as cheap as it will get and it's a special edition. Besides people who wait a while to get a system hurt it, as the more people who buy it means more games will be made.

I would love to see this list of over 100 games. Download-only quickie games do not count.

My only issues were the light puzzles and Aveline's running speed.  I enjoyed it more than AC3.

When this releases in the US, you know the older model will get phased out, and the only way you'll be able to get an original Vita will be secondhand.  So for those complaining about the screen, buy one now while you can one new.
