The PS3 was initially shown at the 2005 E3 as a display model only, the machine wasn't sold on the market until 2006 - A year later. The 360, was shown at the 2005 E3 as a fully developed model, it was sold on the market a few months later. The 360 had over heating problems, which occurred if the machine was unable to cool properly. The PS3 on the other hand didn't have a cooling problem, however the asking price was so high that every one that wanted one, did not buy one until they did their price cuts a few years ago. Moral of the story is - We rushed into this generation.
