I like dark, gritty fantasy. Like the Prince of Nothing series, and ASoIAF. I used to be into Forgotten Realms sword & sorcery, the hero always survives and nothing interesting really happens beyond that, but I've grown into liking my fiction a bit dark.

Anybody have any suggestions?
