@GSJones1994 @IndianaPwns39 Which is too bad. Everything Eidos put out has been top notch in quality. The sales they've been pulling in should make Square Enix one of the top publishers right now.

Reading this just makes me wonder how they've been budgeting their other properties (especially the mishandling of Final Fantasy) when their Eidos division has been exception in sales, quality, and critical reception.

Tomb Raider holds the biggest launch of the year and held the top selling spot for nearly a month. Clearly, it's the communities fault for... buying the game? And, umm, obviously, competitors fault because it, outsold them?

Screw you Square Enix. Your management was poor and you should be super excited about such high sales. Blame yourselves instead of the market that actively supports you.

One of those games that will either be exceptional or a complete failure.

Should be interesting to watch how it pans out.

Attitude isn't the same as reaction.

I once worried I was desensitized just because I let the media tell me I was. I stopped processing most violent media as a response.

Then I saw a deer get hit by a truck and get ripped apart, spraying blood and organs all over the road. I had to pull over to hold back the nausea and thought yup, not a damn thing wrong with me.

@vivekraikkonen He was very bitter, and very hypocritical. He talked about how a particular type is his passion, and then trashed Wolfenstein. What if Wolfenstein is MachineGames passion? He talked about how hard it is to make a game, and how hard developers work, then trashes a game and a particular developer.

Thing is, he has a point. There is an oversaturation of gritty FPS titles but he attacked it in a very childish, silly way. He also acts as if FPS sequels and new IPs can't exist alongside each other, and they can.

Also, he attacked a game by calling it monochromatic or unimaginative when he hasn't even seen it.

@Caldrin @RPGEndBoss Bethesda didn't make Brink and they aren't making Wolfenstein.

Bethesda is also a publisher. The developer, Bethesda Game Works, are the guys that do The Elder Scrolls and Fallout. Dishonored was published by Bethesda, made by Arkane Studios. Brink was developed by Splash Damage. etc

@Carpetfluff I'm assuming the tech and specs are going to be pretty similar and very level. A lot of it has been blown out of proportion.

But that happens every new console generation. Hell, that's part of the fun to me. Let's make all these assumptions on rumors and have fun with it until the truth is revealed.

@ali_manslayer I was the same way. I decided to pick it up anyway and was pleasantly surprised. The game would have done better with better advertising.
