Hey guys, I'm currently having problems with my iPhone 4S's wifi. When I turn it on, it doesn't find any networks even though I'm positive my wifi works (since I'm using it on my laptop). It can't be my network because it doesn't find my neighbour's wifi either. After Googling around, all the advice I found was to turn wifi on and off and reset my network settings, both of which I had previously tried and they failed to do anything.

For some reason, I find that if I turn off my phone then turn it on, it finds my wifi connection and says it's connected but as soon as I try to load something, it disconnects.

Help is appreciated, thank you! :)

I'm not using the Mac for gaming other than playing Diablo 3 so I don't think it's worth getting the one with the Nividia card. I guess I won't be able to play it on the 13". Question was answered a while ago, let the thread die...

I'm not going to go into much detail but I need a new laptop because my current laptop is really outdated, I prefer OS X, I dislike Windows, my iPhone 4S has always been running great and has never failed me and I just found the user experience to be really good and I find Macs to be on the same level (4S was my first Apple product in 4 years or so and I got it as a gift, my old phone was a Nexus S so I'm not blindly following Apple). I'm also getting a really good offer because I'm a student so the price difference between the Mac and other laptops I was considering is around $200 and I can afford it anyway so if it's a mistake then I don't really care but it doesn't look like it is. I should have known this topic would turn into Apple/Mac rather than if Diablo 3 can run on the MacBook Pro so I know if I should look forward to playing it when I get my MacBook next week. Thanks to the people who answered my questions :)

No, I'm not brainwashed and no, I'm not an idiot. The fact that someone can measure anyone's intelligence simply from the fact that he/she is buy a Mac is laughably stupid. Who says I don't have any valid argument to back up my purchase? I just haven't presented any because I'm not here to justify my purchase, all I wanted was to ask if that machine could run Diablo 3 or not. If we follow the logic that anyone who buys a Macs is then that makes half my university professors and many famous physicists idiots.

I don't get why some people here just can't understand the fact that some people prefer Macs over PCs, I enjoy using OS X and I found it to be better than Windows but that doesn't mean I think Windows is horrible and that everyone using a Windows computer is wasting their time. Every OS has its ups and downs and for what I'm going to use a laptop for, I think I should get a MacBook. Yes, it's overpriced but I can afford it so it doesn't really bother me.

Thanks guys :) Yes, I'm aware I can get a Windows laptop with better specs for much cheaper but after considering my options, I've decided on a macbook.

So I wouldn't be able to run Diablo 3 on minimum? That'll probably be the only game I ever play on it seeing as I haven't played anything in the past 18 months or so.

Hello :)

I'm getting the basic 13"MacBookPro sometime next week and I was wondering, how good is it for gaming? To be honest, I haven't played video games in a while (didn't have time then lost interest)but I still want to playDiablo3 during my spare time because I used to be a big fan ofDiablo2 back in the day. Do you think I could run it?

Specs (copied from the Apple website):

  • 2.5GHz dual-core Intel Core i5
  • Turbo Boost up to 3.1GHz
  • 4GB 1600MHz memory
  • 500GB 5400-rpm hard drive
  • IntelHDGraphics 4000

Thank you

Besides clockwork mod i have no idea. I'll leave this for the veteransmystic_knight
Will I have to root my phone for that? I don't mind rooting it, I just haven't found a reason as to why I should yet.

I have a Nexus S and I got the ICS update which is great but the battery life is horrible! Google is currently working on a fix but we all know how slow they are. Is there any solution for this? I can't get through the day on a single charge anymore.
Thanks. :)

I thought most battery issues were due to LTE? Have you tried going through the day with LTE turned off through out the day and checking if your battery life has improved?

I live in Australia so I don't have the LTE version. I've also turned off 3G data to save battery but it's still pretty bad. :/
