I rather like JuiceBox Bandit, but frankly I'm terrible at picking these things out.

Though I consider all but 1 and 2 to really be kind of weak. I'm not a big fan of the capital letters in the middle of words business.

and the thing is Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo isn't making you buy their consoles or the games. its your choice and with Microsoft they ASK you to pay for their service just bc thats how they keep their service up and running smoothlyadams_73717
Last I checked the aforementioned unrealistic free services ran pretty darned smoothly too. :D

What does personal responsibility have to do with anything? I buy a game, I know I can't play the game online, not having a choice is not the same as having a choice and not doing it. If I had a choice in online services for the Xbox 360 and chose to abstain anyway then it would be my choice, but in this case there are none. You either pay to play, or you go without, and that's not a choice, you are forced to do things their way.

In the real world, I would never pay for the privilege of using what I already own. Nothing is free? You should have a look at my blog banner before you start trying to drop a line like that on me ;).  However, since you went there, Windows Live is free, PSN is free, Guild Wars is free, Myspace is free, AIM, MSN, and ICQ are free, there are dozens of free online game services like World Winner, I can view Hulu or South Park Studios, this message board is free, there are a ton of places with free themes for Windows, the last time I checked I didn't have to be a gold anything to play a demo for my PC when it came out any sooner than anyone else, oh, and this free board actually DOES enforce it's policy on racism and harassment. Oh, are none of these a part of the real world? Just checking.

I feel a little sorry for people that feel like they have to defend this service. MS is screwing most of you over, and you'd still stick up for them and this service.

Larger cityscapes. The Citadel was as big as it got, and it never felt like more than a stripmall's worth of area to play in.

No ones forcing you to pay, you choose to. If you don't like it go buy a ps3 and deal with that garbage online service.TarnishedSoul
Oh but they are forcing you to pay. They offer games with built in online features, online achievements, online modes, ets. You can't use these things you have paid for when you bought the game unless you pay for the service, so you are indeed forced to pay for the service to use these features. If I could play my games online without having to pay MS, then I would not be forced, but as it stands the only way to play games online with the Xbox 360 is to pay, which is them forcing me to pay to unlock the game's full experience.

Should be free, only the apologists and fanboys try to justify a service like that. What are you paying for?

Stability? Tell that to GeOW2 and Soul Caliber 4 players.

Bonus content? So you played that Mirrors edge demo a little earlier than the rest of us, I can totally see why that's worth the money:roll:.

Community? Nothing says "fun" like being n-bombed for an hour while I try to play a game online.

But I can mute those jerks? Yeah, and MS could ban them. Since they're not paying me to be an enforcer, maybe they should actually earn their money and do what they are being paid for, which is in part (SURPRISE) enforcing their rules.

Special offers? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

The racism is the biggest thing for me. If MS actually did something about it I'd be a lot more inclined to think they wanted to actually earn my money, rather than arbitrarily charge me for poor service.

It's all so laggy, too, which has me thinking that these guys offer the minimal for these premium prices. No need for good servers,  just something passable that a person may or may not be able to log into. They don't really care, or even have to, as long as they get your money, which apparently they do.

I'm pretty much with everyone that has already said Jade Empire, that game was so short but oh so sweet. Panzer Dragoon should also be on this list.

Just google your title. Answers are all over the place, and they all say yes, yes you can.

I knew the D-pad issue was going to pop up. I'm surprised more people have not complained yet. I refuse to pay through the nose for a joystick, something that should have been included with the system because A) The D-pad is clearly a joke, and B) MS wants us to buy and play older games and arcade titles that used a stick/d-pad that was more functional than the piece of crap we ended up with on our standard 360 controller. In my day (I'm old) the NES came with two controllers, and a light gun, some even included a robot. All we want is a decent d-pad or an arcade stick packed in.

$80 (plus $26.40 - $37.90 shipping) just to get a decent stick to play a $20 XBLA game I've owned/played for years in other iterations is pretty much how I define reckless and greedy.

I'll just hang on to my $130 and play Street Fighter 2 on my Playstation.

I'm black and white, and this is exactly why I stay away from XBL. I don't want to associate my games with the pubescent racists spewing hate at me though my tv. What really chaps my hide is that you are paying for XBL, it is a paid service, and racism is against their own rules, and yet they do little to nothing about enforcing their rules about racist harassment (rules of conduct violations).
