Racial slurs against whites do not carry the same weight as they do against blacks. I'm black and white, and I've gotten it from both sides from strangers, from people I know, even family. Call me any white slur and it'll seems silly, call me any black slur and there will be nothing funny about it. White people were never segregated against in this country, they were never, by law, meant to be inferior in status as Americans, blacks have, and to this day continue to be so more often than a lot of people appear to realize. No, a black president isn't a cureall, Obama in the White House doesn't change the heart of every racist in America, if anything it's only fanning those flames further.

I want to also add that I'm not fond of the N-bomb regardless of who says it. White people like to emulate black people (or at least the media's portrayal of the typical token black), so when blacks start dropping N on each other, you get whites doing it too. I don't care how you try to mispronounce/spell the word, It's the same word, and you should be ashamed of yourselves for being so comforetable with using it.

Mute button is not a solution, it is permission. Bury your heads in the sand all you like, the racists will not go away just because you've corker your ears. Until MS actually enforces their own rules of conduct, I will never use XBL.

cliffy B is a douche.... just watch any video interview. the guy thinks he is the second coming of jesus or something. he has the douchiest attitude i have ever seen. he probably things gears 2 is the best game ever made and doesnt understand how anyone could think poorly of it.Roland123_basic

I agree, but really, I've felt this way about him for a long time (since an E3 appearance years ago when he was being interviewed). He really goes out of his way to act like a rock star when he's really just a nerd. He should check his ego and fix his busted software.

Fanboys ruin user ratings. craigalan23

Took the words out of my mouth. Not just fanboys, apologists, and most anyone that makes the investment. Once a person actually pays for a game, unless the game really is a complete piece of garbage, they will sometimes be more or less forgiving. Overall though, the differences OP is seeing are fanboys and plants. I used to try to make sense of user reviews, but now I ust stick to consensus sites like Metacritic. Or I try to find a reviewer tha I normally agree with or disagree with, and gauge things by what they say.

More companies should release demos. This way the fan reviews will become more irrelevant, and we can just see things for ourselves.

although I would absolutely love to think that MGS4 would come to 360 (as I am considering buying a PS3 solely for this game) I did see a video on gamespot a while ago , like a developer video , and the guy on there was asked about MGS4 coming to 360 and he said even if they wanted to they couldn't because the 360 could not physically meet the games demands! :( so I am not getting hyped up just yet but we can all hope and dream!azzman

Same thing was said about Resident Evil 4 on the PS2, and the dev said he'd rather cut off his own head before allowing that game to be released on that system. In other words, don't believe their nonsense so readily. These people (game devs) can be melodramatic and dishonest, and let's face it, getting MGS4 on the 360 would be smart business on their part, however they managed to pull that off.

Bioware games tend to feel shallow and insubstantial, as though nothing is really deeper than two or three lines of dialogue. Their games also feel really sterile, and nothing has a sense of being lived in.

Bethesda is synonymous with arbitrary, and their games feel unfocused, messy, glitchy, and sorely unpolished.

Frankly neither is, in my mind, better, they just each have their positives and their negatives. I really miss Black Isle though, that was a company that knew what a rpg should be.

Also, old thread:P

People actulley think XBL is expensive. Look at wow its $15 dollars a month and $180 a year.MasterCS

Apples and oranges. If GeOW, Stranglehold, COD4, Halo 3, Soul Caliber 4, or any of the rest of the plethora of games out there offered a persistent world and regular policy enforcement that might somehow manage to justify the price. Frankly, I think both cost too much. I was hosting Age of Empires 2 games lag free over dial up with friends back in the day, and I did it for free. Why shouldn't XBL be the same. Forget all the rest of the nonsense, just let me host matches myself over my nice juicy broadband, cut out MS as the middleman, badabing!

For those of you that don't remember, the Dreamcast's online was also free. Primitive dial up, but I never really experienced any problems with that either. Not so with XBL, and all this lag and down time I keep hearing about.

I still don't get this "I like paying more fees" mentality. Last I checked saving money was supposed to be better.

Dead or Alive Xtreme 2. Everything else is gold by comparison.

Not impossible, just currently unlikely. Remember how the PS2 was too inferior a system to ever get Resident Evil 4? Remember How one of it's developers said if Resident Evil 4 Ever came out on the PS2 that he'd cut his own head off? Remember how great Resident Evil 4 is on the PS2? Fortunes and alliances are constantly changing, and They swore (at first) that the Xbox would never see MGS2, and it ended up with an enhanced version. As I understand it, MGS4 ended up in the discount bin pretty fast, so it might not have been the blockbuster the hype had predicted.

In other words, don't hold your breath, but don't rule anything out.

GTA IV trying to get 100% with no help/guides.

Logan1616
Brave undertaking, that...

I would have said Dead or Alive Xtreme 2, but ever since my gamertag was invalidated I been free of that curse (it's gotta be the ocd...). Maybe GTA 4, but I lack Logan's patience. I never did find all those tags in Los Santos, so I'll be dipped before I try finding all those little flying rats without some help.
