I'm really hyped up for new ME content. I have been "craving" some new content ;) hopefully this one is deliciously amazing. Maybe Bioware can help mend my broken bones after what they pulled off with Omega....GEEEEZ. I really do hope that Bioware doesn't pull another Omega...just sayin.

@Wraith3 I am on my sixth playthrough of the whole series. Played ME3 seven times by itself. And played the ending an additional 19 times too.

I know right lol. ;) These games make me feel like I am actually Shepard and it makes me feel like the decisions I'm making are actually affecting these people's lives, whether that is something that I should be impressed about or concerned with, i don't know :D All I know is that I wouldn't say im a fan of JUST the ME games, but a big fan of the ME universe and that's what is what fascinates me so much about Mass Effect. It's not just one story about some person named Shepard, it's a universe FULL of so many stories and worlds to explore and I think that is what makes ME such an awesome game. It's not something I like to admit at times but I can say that I find myself sometimes just reading the codex for 10 min....20 min....30 min....so on...and it interest me. A lot of people who play ME just play it to shoot some aliens and I don't think that should be the right mind set for ME or really any game. That's why when something like The Walking Dead -_- wins GOTY on Spike or a lot of people LOVE that game, I don't get it. Those people obviously just hate the ending for whatever reason or they havn't even played the game FROM THE BEGINNING to know what it's like. They can't appreciate the emotion put into the games or the small details of the story or characters that can have such a huge impact on the player.

Wow...I don't think anyone on GameSpot that I have "conversed" with has ever been so right. I completely agree. I think people are mad about the ending because they didn't get the ending they wanted. I chose Destroy and I didn't get the perfect ending at first. And I think that actually I was more content with Shepard dying that my Shepard living to be honest. I think having Shepard live or whatever from the "breath scene" just makes the ending more complicated. I dont know. But I do agree about the tone of the games. That has been one of my favorite things about the game: how the game starts out as just a typical enemy-on-the-run type of game, and then the reapers come along and as the story goes, the game gets more intense, dramatic, and even more emotional. The characters as I said are the best part. Let me give you an example. One of my least favorite characters of ME is Ashley. I got really annoyed with her in my FemShep playthrough...(yes I am a girl)......just because she hated aliens and my favorite character was Garrus so yeah. But even when it came to Virmire in ME1 and killed her off, I had so many doubt feelings afterward and I felt so bad about it. I think that if I feel that bad for my least favorite character in ME1 dying, I think that says a lot about the games. And of course that it only just touching the surface of the emotional factor in the trilogy. I can honestly say that the Mass Effect Series is my favorite game(s) to date.

Finally! Someone who has some seense around here! I play Mass Effect for the same reasons: story, exploration, etc. I mean it's not that I'm not into the combat but to me, that's not the point of ME. I think ME is all about getting to know the universe and the characters. It's funny that you mentioned feeling bad if someone dies because it's very true. Whenever I make a decision in that game, it's really hard because I FEEL BAD for the person I am hurting or making an impact on with that decision. My favorite thing about the games are the characters. The characters make that game to me. I think that there are two different kinds of gamers that play ME: 1) a gamer who just plays for the combat or just plays ME2+3 and could care less about the story. They just want to kill some aliens. 2) the gamers who are in love with the universe. Those who spend hours doing everything 100%. Someone who reads the books, comics, etc to get every bit of story. Someone who feels bad when having to "pull the trigger." Sad to say that the majority of ME gamers are ones that have only played ME2 and ME3 and they are also usually the ones who "hate" the ending when they havn't even had the full experience of playing all the games.

Very True....but I think she means that the player went through playing 100% of everything in the game. Most Me1 players just play the main missions of 9 hours. I am proud to say that I have spent 48 hours doing everything in that game: every conversation, every side mission, visited every planet in every solar system, collected all turian insignias and matriarch writings, etc.
