I see your points. A great deal of the games you can play on both consoles, but I couldnt imagine NOT being able to play MGS4, Uncharted, Gears 2, Mass Effect 1, LBP, Killzone 2, Left 4 Dead, Lost and the Damned, inFamous, Forza Motorsport etc. It's those games that I enjoy that I would not want to do without so having both makes it totally worth it for me.
I spend a great deal of time on the 360, but from time to time get on my PS3 and I'm blown away everytime. A week ago I finally finished Uncharted (a great game with an even better story), I'm currently playing inFamous. Great titles on the PS3. I also ended Killzone 2 (Great Ending IMO), MGS4 is just epic, and Little Big Planet is a must have for any one who loved Mario-like games. The PS3 has things that "when compaired" to other consoles it doesnt do as well, and a great deal of things that makes it shine. If money is not an issue, get that thing TODAY.
Why not? I love my 360, but I ended up getting a PS3 when they announced God of War III. It was one of the best gaming decisions I made. I never suffer though a dry spell of games. I enjoy the PS3 exclusives, I don't have to worry about paying for online in addition to XBL. I have a small collection of Bluray movies, and It's reliable...so If I get any RRoD's I'll have something to play. Get one man....you will be glad you did, afterward your gonna ask yourself..."why did I wait this long?".
