It's nearly the end of the 21st century and soon we will get to see what all the fuss have been about, when Blood Knights is released on December 31st 2097.

I have a huge backlog, so won't buy it at launch, but this is one game I'm quite interested in. Even if it gets 6/10 I might still check it out, because it seems to offer something that reminds me of Bloodlines.

When I wanted to see which games a developer/publisher previously had been involved with, I used to be able to click on their name and then select e.g. "All CD Projekt Red Studio Games (12)" and the list would appear. Not anymore it seems and this has happened with several other companies as well. All you get for clicking on above mentioned link is a list of EVERY game listed on Gamespot. CD Projekt only has 12 games connected to their company, but when I click on the link for "All CD Projekt Red Studio Games (12)" I get a list which spans 3896 pages. I'd be great if that could be fixed and you wouldn't always be getting the entire haystack when looking for a needle, so to speak.

BTW Hurvl, next time, create a new thread instead. No one knows you are asking if you necro.

But this thread is perfect for my agenda, I also wanted to know: 32 bit or 64 bit? I just had a different take on that question. Now I know anyway.

I've decided to upgrade my graphics drivers and ATI's support page wants to know if I have Windows XP 32 Bit or 64 Bit, and frankly, so do I. How do I see if I have 32 Bit or 64 Bit? I tried right-clicking on This Computer, but the most it said (under "General") was that I had Windows XP, but not which version.

PC gaming isn't dying, it's just a thing that some people think, because of overhyped exposure from any of the above given reasons. What people think and the actual truth are two separate things when a rumor like this is brought up. Hopefully not too many developers will buy a ticket to the crazy train heading for the supposed death of PC games. PC gaming is where it all began and where it all will end.

The PC market is not a homogenous market. It is a strength as well as a weakness, but that weakness have never been great enough to make the PC unattractive for gaming companies. I don't have any numbers, but I think that the PC is the single strongest platform for games. It may not beat the other consoles' combined sales, but that isn't required.

PC games were great back in the days of the 80's, they are great now and there seem to be many great PC games in the future as well. I'm looking forward to Dragon Age and Diablo 3.

PC gaming is dead, long live PC gaming!

  • You are able to carry loads of weapons, ammo and other things with you and still run at a fast speed, yet you can't jump and get over small ledges.
  • "Intelligent Design" seems to be the way the world is made: If it's not designed to break or open or whatever, than it just won't do it, no matter what you try.
  • "Unintelligent Design" seems to be the way the enemies are educated. Don't take cover, don't try to ambush or out maneuver your opponent, just run straight at him, yelling and shooting wildly. Most definitely don't try to stealth kill him. If you see him, you have got to make him aware of that, by shouting and revealing your position.
  • Although enemies have limitless ammunition, they very rarely take advantage of that by using alternative fire modes, like shooting grenades from a submachine gun with an attached grenade launcher.
  • Sometimes the enemy knows where you are simply by sensing your life energy or something (like in Star Wars: I have felt his presence).
  • Sometimes you can stand 30 feet from a group of elite soldiers and kill/stealth kill one of their colleagues and they continue standing there like nothing has happened.
  • All of your enemies are like one big family, they never shoot each other and they most of the time look exactly alike, making them seem even more like a family. Forget identical triplets, we're talking identical 24-plets or more. Even cloning could be considered.
  • If you meet a girl, then she will be attractive, voluptuous and not seldom wearing revealing clothes. Also, you will most likey fall in love no matter what you do.

  • If you shoot someone you will do a lot more damage than someone shooting at you using the same gun.
  • If you're hurt, just pick up a med pack and you'll be restored to full health again. You don't have to manually use the med pack, just pick it up and that will do the trick.
  • You can pick up a gun while walking over it and instantly acquire years of experience in handling it.
  • Red liquids gives you your health back, while blue liquids makes you able to use spells.
  • To open a door you must press a sign that says "Use" on it and then the door will open by itself.
  • Everyone in the whole wide world wants to kill you. It's you or them and there's a whole lot of "them" and just one "you".
  • Your enemies, i.e. anyone besides yourself, has limitless ammo, while you have to preserve ammo.
  • Enemies clad in red clothing can take a lot more damage before killed than e.g. enemies clad in blue clothing
(Joking aside, games have given me better reflexes, better hand-to-eye coordination and improved awareness of my surroundings and of other people while riding a bike. Thus making every bicycle trip seem like an obstacle course, where people and everything I can't run over becoming obstacles to stay clear off. It has also improved my english vocabulary)

In Malmo, the fourth largest city in Sweden, there is a library where you can rent PC/console games. Unfortunately, I live in Uppsala (near Stockholm), so it would be a long ride for me just to be able to rent a PC game. I try to make a personal evaluation of the game before I read reviews and consider if it's worth buying or not. Right now I have lots of games waiting to be played, but no time to play them, so I have the opposite problem. I agree with the topic creator, though I have bought games without trying out a demo. More demos for the people!

i had an identical thread a while back. the responses i got were all profit related.but at the same time even the PS2 is getting the game which to me is just beyond comprehension. I think Lucasarts is making a major mistake in not bringing this to PC gamers. however, i have a feeling that it will be a very console friendly game.from the videos ive seen it doesn't look all that impressive.its not like its running on the unreal 3 engine or something to rival it. Regarding KOTOR 3 i know it will be multiplatform and may probbaly come to the consoles before it comes to the PC like Mass Effect and Gears of War.crazyfist36

Hopefully, Force Unleashed will come to PC. Mass Effect is coming to PC, although it was said to be exclusively for the Xbox 360. I loved the Force powers in the Jedi Knight series and Force Unleashed seems to take that one step further, which I think is great. I wonder, though, how you could balance a game that lets you toy with the enemy, i.e. stormtroopers, like that. The shock wave combos looks great anyway. Now that Mass Effect is coming to PC, Force Unleashed is the only the game for the consoles that I want to play.
