Feels like the Halo 5 and Halo Infinite story. While MS never wanted to implement splitscreen in Halo 5, they promised in various 343i videos that they would never make that mistake again and have it implemented in future installments. Fast forward: No splitscreen at launch for Halo Infinite, promising it would come later and now no splitscreen at all.
Well, you can still use a second controller on Xbox and play MP splitscreen, which is apparently a bug that they never fixed... Goes to show splitscreen is more than possible. There's even videos of people playing the campaign in splitscreen without modding their Xbox.
Anyways... MS being MS. Gotta sell those consoles and Game Passes, right?
How is Konami doing it right when it's a full-priced game, a simple remaster of the HD Collection, not even 4K but 720p and only 30 FPS on Switch while MGS2 was 60 FPS on the dang PS2 when it was first released. They're not doing anything right.
@sippio: Even the MCC was a hot mess until years later. The launch made the game almost unplayable for months and it took years for it to properly function.
No Half Life 2? Also, I am surprised that Halo 2 is on the list, I remember there was lots of hate for the story when it was released. Halo 1 and Halo 3 are overall more loved.
@idakooz: Oh man, that was supposed to have happend already! LOTR: The White Council got cancelled near the end of the EA Games deal with the LOTR license... sadly.
@firedrakes: Can't believe you're taking his comment so literally, haha. He obviously means everything of interest to him. No the entire Netflix catalogue.
