I think a lot of people are missing Spector's point. His problem is not that video games are violent, but rather that developers are unable to tell a story that is driven by anything but violence. Seriously, I can count the number of video games that aren't driven primarily by killing people on two hands.
It's fine to have violence in video games, and to have violence drive the story at certain points, but when the entire video games is driven by killing things, that's a problem.
@RealFabioSooner It's just a new fad. People like to take the moral high ground of "let's defend the rape victims!" without realizing that all their arguments are idiotic and that they are infantilizing actual rape victims.
I can't wait until this "video games are sexist" fad blows over.
