seeing as they were pointed our as a prime feature of Home before release, I really don't mind them. It's how Sony gets some decent money to keep it up and running. Are they effective? They will be as effective as any form of advertisement. I don't know much about the medium, but seeing as how they are everywhere adverts must work! Will it change my perception? Probably not because I always buy cheap.
