They should have tested the read write times on installed games like full games off of the PSN (Warhawk, maybe?). The Blu-Ray drive wouldn't come into play and would therefore remain a non-factor. Overall this article doesn't prove anything either way. Like Normaral said, focus on the true diffs and features.

Got it launch day and played a few hours. I had trouble pulling out even simple Dragon Punch/Fireball combos. So today I hook up my PS2 Capcom Streetfighter pad (using the USB adaptor which every REAL gamer has) and I roll through Arcade mode with just one continue (on Nacho Cheezy Seth). Do yourselves a favor, get a pad, get a stick, but leave the PS3 controller alone. You can probably find the PS2 Streetfighter pad for less than standard PS3 pad anyway.

Well the Pokemon games are definitely system sellers for me. I bought my GBA to play Pokemon, my GBA SP to play Pokemon, my GC to play Pokemon, my Wii to play Pokemon, and I would have bought my DS to polay Pokemon had it not been given to me as a gift. Oh, I also bought my Super Gameboy and GBA Player to play Pokemon. I don't think there are more than 15% of Nin's consumers that don't buy Nin system games for the 1st party stuff anyway and with Mario and Pokemon being the top gaming franchises in the entire world, that means lots of "system sellers" right there. The Pokemon games are not perfect (and they truly do need to do an MMO version) but I can't see the validity in discounting it because it's a "kid game" or whatever. I came into pokemon ten years ago as an adult and I haven't found the secret to getting younger so I'm still an adult. I play and my kids play. We also play Halo and GTA (among other "adult" games). Pokemon succeeds because it's fundamentally sound with very few flaws. It doesn't reinvent the wheel but that also lends to why it has never failed to sell. Even the spin off games (Pokemon Ranger, Mystery Dungeon, the puzzle games, etc) have sold better than most other Sony or MS 1st party stuff. The franchise is simply a license to print money. i wish I had created it and all of you know you do too. LOL

Actually, I would like to see one also. And I'm guessing anyone that is interested in this game and not just trolling, dsdd, would like it too. Of course if all you have to do with your time is lurk about and downplay things that you can't understand then you wouldn't and couldn't understand at all.

The only "proper rpg" they could do would be an online world one where you could actually catch your pokemon and go day to day (ala Animal Crossing). A Pokemon style World of Warcraft game. That would be cool.
