@ the anti-DRM crowd: Claiming that DRM is ultimately pointless owing to the inevitable bypassing and/or breaking of any particular security system are missing the actual objective of that system. 442 days. Any coder can (and does) fully appreciate that Chaos Theory was well protected and that the revenue gained from this protection, showed it to be a worthy inclusion. Of course, there's a flip-side too: @ the pro-DRM crowd: There simply does not exist a software security system that will not absolutely alienate a proportion of the intended audience. The reasons are numerous, suffice to say that when I installed GT: Legends and attached my MOMO FFB last week, only to be greeted by an 'illegal validation' for a legitimate game which I purchased several years ago, I was most ****ing unimpressed. After repeated attempts to correct the problem, my eventual solution involved breaking the law. Something which I've been forced to do more than once when dealing with legitimate software that contains poorly implemented DRM. In summary: Until an entirely discreet, non-intrusive, non-restrictive [**** off with your install limits already!] DRM is created, I'll continue to be who you think I am.
