@djentmaven @Gum_Bercules I agree they should have given this game their full attention and worried about sequels later on. The fact that they already have DLC announced is ridiculous as well. The content in the expansions is more than likely something that could have been in at launch.

I have to say I was very excited for this game and I became very disappointed very fast. I completely agree with this review. It's not to say I won't be playing Destiny for a while yet, but Bungie had better step it up in the next installment. I feel like Bungie promised us much more than did not deliver. There was so much concept art for different locations that were all cut from the final game. Places like Old Chicago, Mumbai Push, and European Deadzone could have really made Earth a fun place to play. Had they decided to put the same amount of time into the other locations as well as put Europa in, the game could have been very big and very fun because there would have been far less repetition.

I was also disappointed with the enemies. Why the hell would they not have used different character models for the chosen acolytes, knights, etc... instead of just giving them a yellow health bar. It could have been much more fun to come across bigger and more bad ass looking versions of these enemies as we progressed through the game. It would make exploring much more interesting I think.

I haven't played Dark Souls II yet, but from the review I can tell it's more or less the same. I personally love the game and the challenge. But I also don't mind grinding. That being said, I do agree with a lot of your points. They should have a some sort of game mode or a more in depth tutorial of easing people in. I tried playing by myself when I first got the game and I got destroyed constantly and it deterred me for quite some time. So, I decided to bring up an in depth guide and use that for my first play through just to get a good idea of where everything is and what everything does. Now I love the game and everything about it. But, I shouldn't have to bring up a guide to do that.

Everyone has been breaking down this trailer over and over again since the day it came out. I don't even understand why. There is nothing to gain from the trailer. Mech suits are not original, nor will it breathe new life into the series. They need to strip it down and go back to what made the series so popular to begin with. Also, the phrase "absence makes the heart grow fonder" would probably be a good thing for them to live by. A three year cycle isn't going to help anything. We're still getting Call of Duty over and over and over again. The gameplay is worn out. A good multiplayer FPS should have a longer life span than a year. I don't understand why they don't combine forces take a couple years off and make a game that people would actually be excited for. *rant over*

I don't understand why they didn't do a full remake. How lazy.
