SimCity's city sizes really didn't bother me at first, but yeah, they are way too small.

Athlon 64 X2 5000+ Dual Core @ 2.6GHz
ASUS M2R32-MVP (motherboard)
8 GB of DDR2 Ram
DIAMOND Viper Radeon HD 3850 with 512MB GDDR3 Memory
Upgrades:
AMD Phenom II X4 965 Quad Core @ 3.4GHz
ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0 AM3+ AMD 970(motherboard)
8 GB of DDR3 Ram
GPU is still undecided, but maybe an HD 7770
Also, I have Windows 7 Pro 64-bit
A 7770 would run nicely with your upgraded parts. Another poster stated that you can get a stronger GPU for less if you buy used or refurb. That's true. It's up to you if you want a new card or are willing to take a chance on a used one. I have a pair of used 9600gt's that are almost 5 years old sitting in my closet. They both work perfectly. I've had good luck with used graphics cards, so I'm not afraid of them.
At $115, it will be tough to beat a 7770 for a new GPU.
I don't know about buying used, but where should one look for a used card?Would it be worth to get then?[QUOTE="Gta3-fan334"]
[QUOTE="04dcarraher"] You will see anywhere from 2-4x the performance depending on the game.hartsickdiscipl

As the title says, How good is a HD 7770?
I'm looking at this card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202011
I found a few 6870s, but the lowest price was $169. I guess I'll go for a 7850, I thought that since 6000 series cards are older then 7000 series ones they would be cheaper. Not by much it turns out.The 7850 is about equivalent to the 6950 I think. But those are harder to find online, the next fastest being the 6870 which is also becoming rare.

Looks pretty nice, but what about a card in the 6000 series? Any good cards in that series?181.92 with shipping after rebate
