@Chris_Watters @Black_Hand_313 @shuffles88 I would say that the billions in dollars of sales probably pop cultured CoD if it was anything, but you do raise a good point.
I am very happy to see that airborne killstreaks are down, but it's time to tell the whole killstreak system to go fly a kite entirely.
Now, what I really want to know is:
- What is being done about melee? - Do bullets still come from the top of your head and totally screw up vertical fights? - Are we abandoning the clairvoyance stuff (e.g. MMS, V-SAT/Blackbird, Heartbeat Sensor). - Are we fixing the lobby system? - Are we fixing the ludicrous power and dominance of explosive weapons and equipment? - Will the PlayStation version remain unstable and awful?
These are the things I really want to hear about. I already know that they didn't bother to do a damn thing about recoil, so that's one black mark already.
@Jamoid @Zalakat The lack of physical activity or real socializing in games is another black mark against it. If you lived your life around tennis, it is likely that people would think you're a much more socially adjusted, attractive person than someone who lived their life around counterstrike, and I have a hard time thinking of reasons to disagree.
Riptide has all the bits and pieces that make up a hit game. It's got exp, it's got insane gameplay duration, it's got achievements, and it would dupe people into wasting hours of their time just going through the motions because they can. Good on Mark for not giving Riptide a 9.0 just because you can spend time on it.
@RAD_RADIO This is horribly, embarrassingly naive of you.
This game has achievements, it has progress, and that's about it. Kudos to Mark for not giving a game an 8.0 not just because it doesn't crash and you can unlock achievements.
I really enjoyed this video. It sort of articulated exactly what I had in the back of my mind, but more precisely. A nicely delivered, cool little dialogue.
