Hey Kevin, all the best to you in what comes next and thank you both for the kind words here and especially for all your years of service at this site. Your reviews have helped guid some of my better game-purchasing decisions since I left, so I'll certainly miss them. I hope what you do next proves at least as fulfilling, interesting, and rewarding.

By the way, it was my bad for the short notice of this request; not to bore you with the details of how we organize these things behind the scenes, but I didn't give Bethany and Jody as much notice as I should have that this was happening. Hence the "this is not a drill" situation. Thanks for any backup you can provide, and hope you enjoy the broadcast if you tune in.
Hey, I wanted to informally ask ya'll to help us come up with a list of folks who'd be worth pointing out in the Community Spotlight corner of the forums page. These should be members of the community who have a strong presence, by maintaining their blogs, posting a lot to the forums, submitting player reviews or videos, and so on... kind of like a lot of you, though we're looking for non-mods in this case. So if anyone comes to mind, please list their names in this thread. Feel free to link to their profiles. Note this isn't meant to be a forum for debating whether or not specific individuals "deserve" the spotlight or not--there's no rocket science at work here, we'd just like to update that spot on at least a weekly basis by featuring a bunch of interesting people. Thankye kindly!
Can someone fill us in on why GF allows piracy talk? I don't think we should be known as a place where people can talk about and/or tell each other in on how to pirate games. What are the exact rules for acceptable or unacceptable behavior? Carrie
GameFAQs does not tolerate piracy talk any more than GameSpot does; the rules are the same. The messages in question have been deleted. They would have been deleted faster if they were marked for deletion faster. I'm not certain off hand where the issue stands with GameSpot mods being able to mark messages on the shared boards, but you should have GameFAQs accounts for that if not. If you don't, feel free to let me know. I work closely with CJayC and we agree that the 'social rift' between GameSpot and GameFAQs users is silly and pointless; so the last thing we need is for that rift to be perpetuated by our moderators or members of staff. Please feel free to e-mail me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any concerns about the GameSpot-vs.-GameFAQs issue.
