Well, technically, it isn't God's word. It's what a man who starved himself in a cave hallucinated he thought God said through an angel. The contemporary Arab moral lessons sprinkled throughout kind of give it away.
a man who couldn't read or write starved himself in a cave and hallucinated about angels talking to him, he then coincidentally came out of that cave with the best Arabic scripture known to man, no need to mention how the world changed after that point which still effects us to this very day.
