I think that platformers as a genre have lost much of their appeal. They were nice when I was a kid, but most lack the depth and story that I'm looking for in games nowadays...superclocked

Ever heard/played a game called Braid? If you're looking for good platformer stories (which is weird for the platform genre but I digress) then try that one out; its' pretty good.

From what I've heard it's not "as bad" and the rewards you get overtake the "risks" involved with it.

Still bullshit either way, they're still the same just one evil is (or was, I don't know) greater than the other. Doesn't matter, they're still evil and very, very wrong.

Adam Sessler is right. They need to please the "hardcore gamer". They won't be able to compete in the long run. They are sporting an overpriced and underpowered console. They are pumping out 2D style Mario and Donkey Kong games, Zelda remakes and 3DS ports with only one or two big titles announced for this year. These games don't even cater to somebody like me in the slightest.

He is by no means saying these are the things he wants, he is saying these are the things they need to change in order to compete in the long run. Once the PS4 and Xbone are out Nintendo could very well crumble. Yet all of their games that most people want won't actually be ready till 2014.

So...so much wrong.

You claim I am wrong but fail to provide any counterargument. Seems legit.

It'd take a long time for me to write up a response to that.

As much as I am underwhelmed by it I must admit the sheer size and amount of zombies on a screen at one point in Dead Rising 3 and some of the gameplay elements as well look very much Next Gen to me. Other than that I saw absolutly nothing else from E3 or at least anything next gen worthy (Thief) so...yeah.

Here's the way I see it: I don't think the graphics on PS4 or Xbox One will be perhaps as good or better than PC graphics now and later down the line but in no way shape or form are they bad.

Best MMO graphics by far, looking forward to trying out the open betaprinceofshapeir

Isn't that, like, the ONLY thing the original had was the good graphics in MMO standards?

I had a blast playing it alone.

Strange. I found the environment so empty and catered towards multiplayer that I couldn't make myself play it for very long.

I just really enjoyed the shooting and how the game worked like a first person shooter but at the same time there was this RPG aspect that surrounded it. I love seeing all the numbers popout of enemies heads as I laid into them with my automatic weapons.

Plus, being alone means that I get to keep all the guns and loot for myself. I never thought the landscape was barren, I thought that the world, creatures, and the land itself was just right for me; of course I stayed in semi populated areas instead of just driving out into the desert and doing god knows what so maybe that has something to do with it. I just really had a lot of fun alone and if I got some people to play with I'd probably have even more fun, maybe. That's just me though.

Now I see what the bid deal about Borderlands is. I saw it for around $7 so I picked it up and I can not believe I waited so long to play it. That game is a lot of fun. I only got the first one but I will get the second one during the Steam winter sale.
