I come from a pretty averaged sized town in North Carolina and we don't have that large of a music scene outside of metal. Weedeater, He is Ledgend, Sourvein, The Love Language (now in Raleigh), The Rosebuds are some of the bigger bands to come from the area.

I play in a local band myself called Free Clinic. If anyone is interested we have a bunch of free tunes up on - freeclinic.bandcamp.com

Had to vote for Saving Private Ryan based on this list. However I think a lot of the greatest war films ever made are the older ones. Foreign films are often times better than they're American counterparts simply due to the fact that we have a violence driven look on war in this country.

There are only a few movies I can recall that scared me an a lot. Don't get me wrong, I'll jump in my seat when things pop out randomly and I do get creeped out if something weird is happening. But that I can remember Drag Me To Hell hit me pretty hard, Insidious had me on edge, and so did the first Grave Encounters. The Descent had it's moments too.

I've heard that swishing some backing soda and water around in your mouth does the trick. I've never tried it though.

Well I actually work at a McDonalds and I certainly don't want to work there on Christmas day. With that said though, there are definitely plenty of older people I work with who don't have much family, need the money, and would otherwise just sit at home all day. I don't think it's right to make someone work on Christmas day if they want to, though.

Anyone with a basic musical knowledge knows that classical composers need to be remembered, not glorified.fluffy_puppy666
It isn't fair to single out classical music and put a criteria like that on it. So with all genres aside, basically what your saying is that if my favorite band is the Beatles (and it's not) that I shouldn't glorify them because I think their awesome? Instead, I should remember them as a really good band? People have free reign to love and glorify what ever band/artist they want, regardless of genre. I would be willing to bet you have talk about a specific band way more than your friends wanted to hear before.

But if you see someone glorifying classical composers, then its either because this person wants to look special or because this person really likes soft music, or both.

Wait....what? So if I make a big deal out of classical music then I want to look special or I just like soft music. There is no other possible reason. This isn't intended to get a rise out of you, but I've met plenty of people who love classical music and have far more then just a 'basic musical knowledge' and some do like to brag about it. I personally dislike the bragging aspect of it, but my dislike has nothing to with it being about classical music.
