so, what is it? i lived there for 5 years and it was just like anywhere else in the states. but most dont think that. ever since i got here ive had to tell people that alaska is completely normal. also everybody's got to throw in the jokes about igloos and penguins, which alaska dosent have. i put up with them at first but ive lived here since june 06 and they still dont believe me when i tell them what its like up there. heck, its warmer there than it is here. its just another case of bad steriotyping
