Thanks fella's. How useful do you think SSD's are at this point? Reckon it's worth holding out a bit longer for them?

case is a Antec 900-2. Dont get me wrong, i do understand I have a good PC and it's got a bit of time left in it, but, for future reference. I'm just interested in what may be the first major component to be lacking. Thanks.

My PC currently includes a 4870x2, i5-750 @ 3.7ghz, 4gb DDR3 RAM, Asus P55 Mobo, 500gb F1 7,200rpm HDD. 24" Monitor @ 1920x1200.

- If i were to to make a single upgrade to one of those components, which do you think it should be?

- Are SSD's worth it now, or wait a bit longer for things like the Vertex III to get come and get a bit cheaper?

Thanks

Further, i'm getting fan/heat issues with my 4870x2. It's not rendering it useless, but it gets 90 degrees (which isn't too bad) under pressure but the fans get incredibly loud and after a period of reduces FPS too. So perhaps that should be a consideration.

Any ideas what the weakspot may be in my computer? Crysis warhead ran fine nearly maxed out but Crysis (I've tried all graphic settings, gamer, advanced, hardcore) and they all run about 5-20fps. I have the latest 11.2 ati drivers.

Spec:

ATI 4870x2 GPU

i5-750 @ 3.7ghz

4.0gb DDR3 RAM

Windows 7 Home Premium

Running at 1920x1200 res (24" monitor).

Thanks, any suggestions!

looks great. No technology there that doesn't already exist, but obviously just not at consumer price levels yet.

when you say it is louder when you play games, have you thought maybe it's the disc drive spinning the disc faster than it should?

it could be the guy had a colostomy bag. My dad has one as a result of having an operation to remove bowl cancer. It's quite common but he's had a few accidents with the bag coming off and it being very embarrassing (things dripping etc.) Not pleasant, but accidents happen. You never know...
