It is hard for me to believe Sony could be the next Sega but Sony seems to be struggling and I feel if they don't do something to boost console sales the PS3 could become the next Dreamcast. I really like my PS3 but I feel Sony needs to change up their marketing strategy focus on the hardcore audience as well as focus on the casual audience. If I was head of Sony I would drop the PS3 price, than create casual games that use the Six-Axis but are marketed toward scasual gamers. The final I would do if I was in charge of Sony is start spending money wisley and do what Microsoft did buy exclusive rights maybe exclusive Bioshock 2 content and or exclusive Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 maps for multiplayer. I hope someone at Sony starts to make some good decisions or I fear the PS3 will become the next Dreamcast.

please no casual game crap. i'd sooner the PS3 fail then for it to stoop to Nintendo's level.

Agreed

Dude if I were you I wouldn't get a skin for the PS3, it just makes it look cheap. I would search ebay and replace the shell.

How about he turns down the volume on his TV? Honestly, some people just look for a 'flame war'. Can't you just accept his sons a light sleeper, and a beep he hears a lot is going to possibly wake him?Adziboy

Actually I'm pretty sure the sound comes from the PS3 itself NOT the TV.

Yeah it will help especially if your tv is a plasma because of the darks and lights. btw you can tell which kind of TV it is by the screen. If your screen is glass then it is plasma, if not, then LCD. The HDMI wont change the detail in the game, but it will help balance blacks & whites more efficiently than a component, so good choice. O yeah and you can get more channels of sound out of hdmi, so good if you have surround sound. Think its can handle 7.1 channels. Hop that helped, enjoy MGS.

Go to start, all programs, accessories, system tools, then go to the system restore, pick the date and that should uninstall it. If not go to Start, control panel, Add or remove programs, then you should see a list, and that patch or update should be in that list.

With that being said, I still don't like the idea of the main focus being primarily directed on casual games in the future.
