I think it's because it's so poorly presented. Some nice artwork or renders would certainly do the trick, but let's be honest: what they showed here (this screenshot in the article f.e.) looks like total crap. Futurustic look doesn't fit this, people want to be a present day cop, textures in the car look awful, and wtf is with that zombie arm?
@Blurry85 Yeah it speaks for itself that practice time is most important. But I'm taking a guess that once you already practice a lot, there's a point where the effect of an extra hour of practice becomes pretty insignificant with diminishing returns and all.
The same goes for a lot of sports and other things humans try to get better at. Once you're at a high level, you can gain so much from improving other aspects and conditions aside from your basic training that otherwise make you hit a plateau.
What do pro gamers know, as far as I can see most of them completely neglect their body. Which is a shame as it doesn't help the image of e-sport. Besides that, being fit and healthy can undoubtably improve your performance significantly as a pro gamer. And caffeine is not the way to go in that light.
Weak interview, no persistence at all to get clearer answers. All the hot topics have been dodged without any effort by the MS guy. Interviewer needs to grow some balls.
@barrybarryk Exactly, this is in-your-face proof that Activision and Bobby Kotick + buddies decide what happens on a larger scale.
Also, apparently it IS entirely financially possible to provide more content for your sub money. But only now, when it's necessary for survival, they decide to throw you a bone, instead of in the 10 years when it was actually relevant. One might ask what they have been doing for the last 10 years then instead. Yeah, milking with no remorse. 500 million pure profit per quarter, it's absolutely disgusting.
Guess what Moore, you might as well be replaced with a chimpanzee. I am 100% convinced it won't matter a bit for game sales. Although that's sadly also the reason this shitty company keeps surviving like a cockroach in the game industry (yeah cockroaches also produce great numbers), that's got to hurt for an egomaniac like this guy.
